My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Sierra in Fishkill, NY. For three nights in April. The previous reviewers were correct in that is similar to a Residence Inn. But in our estimation it is a cut above Residence Inns.
My wife especially liked the special touches. The rose made out of toilet paper on the roll in the bathroom and the fan on the paper towel roll in the kitchen.
This inn is in an excellent location in a commercial area that includes medical facilities, a lake, all types of shopping and a Wall-Mart. It is located near the Interstate exit and is easy on and off. Don't get me wrong, even in a commercial area it is very quiet. My wife and I are very light sleepers and we never heard a thing.
The hot breakfast was wonderful, we both had the made to order omelet one morning and hot eggs, bacon and ham the other days.
We liked the decor and the housekeeping was excellent.
The full kitchen was only lacking an oven, but who needs a oven when on vacation.
This hotel has a very spacious feel. The rooms are large and are unclutered, you never feel crowded. The disk clerks were very helpful and allowed us to look at a couple of room so we could make up our minds.
The rate was very attractive. We would recommend this place to anyone.
