“Shop Around For Better”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

booked 2 non-smoking rms months in advance- arrived and was given 1 smoking and 1 non-smoking rm; no internet access although ads said otherwise; ro.om walls, carpet were upgraded but old style outdated furniture; beds and bathroom were ok; decent little bar on premises; this motel shows its age; this motel good if all you need is a reasonably priced bed to sleep in. thin walls and floors do not lend themselves to a quiet stay. If you stay go to the nearby Park Place Diner- very good; also the Finger Lakes Casino with a decent buffet is nearby; good golf courses include Ravenwood and Greystone.

Room Tip: pick a second floor room so noise is reduced.

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review the property. We are working very hard to update the property and bring it back. We do take all comments seriously and have made many steps to correct the problems while we continue to update our property.

The wirless is available however during your stay we had issues with the reception. We did contact the people who handle the service right away to have the problem fixed. Due to circumstances beyond our control we were at the mercy of the company getting the parts needed to fix the problem.

Once again thank you for your input and please know that we do take it seriously.

We found this place quite by accident when we saw their sign near the toll booth at an exit off the NY Thruway. We followed the signs to a long winding driveway to a registration office which was not of particular note, but when we reached to top of the hill where all the rooms were located we were amazed at the distant views. This place was recently taken over by Travelodge, and is still being renovated.
We checked out a couple of other hotels at the prior exit where the rooms ran from $159.00 to $199.00. We paid $88 at this Travelodge.
At the present time, I have to rate it as Average, but it has great future potential.

At first I was pleasantly surprised. The curb appeal was much nicer than the photo online. But then we got to our room. First, it was not the room that we booked and second, there was no mini refrigerator or microwave like was advertised online. We went down to the front desk to inquire as to what happened and were informed there were no other rooms available. We said we could make due but really needed the mini frig and micro since we were traveling with our young daughter. We were then informed that the maintenance person had just left and would take care of it as soon as he returned. We then went out to do some site seeing and stop at a store to pick up items we needed. When we returned (a couple hours later) still no frig or micro, the maintenance man never returned, they didn't know where he was, and the owner (there was no manager) was not taking phone calls at that time. It was now 9:00 in the evening so we were stuck. We checked out the next morning. The food we bought earlier had to be thrown away.

We stayed one night. It was OK. The front desk clerk was pleasant. This place was probably a very nice hotel 30 years ago. Today it needs work. The room was OK, but you only get a micro or fridge if you ask for one. There is only one ice machine and you have to go to the front desk and ask the clerk for some ice. The breakfast was some donuts and coffee. Nothing terrible. OK for one night. At niney+ it is pricy.
