My wife and I choose to spend an evening here as we wanted to treat ourselves with something out of the ordinary. We decided on the Woodcliff based on location and amenities, I found the staff very helpful. the guy working the spa was beyond helpful, but based on overall travel experience I would not rate this hotel in the overall top of the hotels I have stayed at, the room was fair, and the hotel itself was pleasant but not superb, I would recommend for out of towners as a higher then 3 star but not the best

I had never been to the Woodcliff, but visited recently for business purposes and plan to return when I can relax for a bit longer in the property. The rooms are comfortable with nice amenities, particularly for the price. I was most impressed by the public spaces in the hotel, particularly the lounge area that overlooks the pool. I was up early in the morning and was able to work for a few hours in a pretty, comfortable space with fast wireless. I plan to return in March with some girlfriends for fun rather than business!

I am currently staying at this hotel for a business/personal trip. The hotel itself is nice. Good location, very friendly staff, very clean, beds are amazingly comfortable. It appears that the soundproofing between rooms is lacking. A few minutes ago I actually heard someone in an adjacent room using the bathroom. I have stayed at more and less expensive hotels and have never heard that before. Sometimes at hotels you hear water running, but never the sound i just heard. To me that is equivalent to fingernails on a chalkboard. While this may not cause me to look elsewhere for my next trip to Rochester, it definitely takes this hotel down a few notches in terms of the better hotels I have recently stayed at.

Went there for the weekend in November. For us this was a hockey weekend with my sons team but we will likely return on our own in future. The hotel is on the outskirts of Rochester and located backing on to a golf course and hiking trails. The hotel is very well presented with a great health club. There is an excellent out-door pool but not open in a cold November. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant was very good and relaxed and there was entertainment in the bar each week-end evening. Recommended for groups, couples and families.
