You can do just about anything associated with soaring at Harris Hill!
The National Soaring Center features a museum, a family amusement/campground area, and rides in sailplanes. Sailplane rides are on a first-come-first-served basis, so the wait can be lengthy. The admission to the museum is nominal and it provides a complete history of soaring/gliding with many examples of sailplanes and gliders from all eras of flight.
Sailplane rides are given in two-seat aircraft. Most people opt for the Schleicher ASK-21 which is a high performance aircraft and rides cost $85. The other aircraft is a Schweizer, and while not quite as sporty, will still provide a good ride. Rides are advertised as 20 - 30 minutes, but could be longer or shorter depending on conditions.
