I recently went to Ellicottville with my husband and 14 month old son for a family vacation. We stayed for five nights and managed three separate visits to Dina's. We first went for lunch. I had some delicious split pea soup with salmon on top. What a great addition! I also had a half-sandwich (roast beef and very tasty). We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for our son, but while he wasn't interested, it might have been the best grilled cheese I have ever had. My husband had an olive tapenade appetizer which he enjoyed, but what he really liked was a hot coffee drink called "bowl of soul," and of course, he had kalua added. We went back to the restaurant but got there too early for lunch. I was disappointed since I'm not an egg fan and I wanted something more substantial than my pancakes. They were, however, really delicious pancakes and I was plenty filled up - also helped by a side of bacon. (And I left one pancake behind, sadly). For our third trip to Dina's that week, we managed to make it for lunch again. Our son really enjoyed his spaghetti with meatballs, which the waitress had kindly chopped up into small pieces before bringing it out, after asking if this would be my preference. We all enjoyed everything we got at every meal. The wait staff was attentive. The atmosphere was nice. My only complaint is that it could be a bit chilly near the front door, but they try to avoid this by having a heavy drape hang. We enjoyed it enough to visit it again and again!
