Point blank: Worst food and service experience that we've had...since we can remember. The waiter came across as very distracted - not really paying much attention to what we were ordering and looking at other people while we were talking to him. When we received our entrees they did not resemble other customer dishes - no sauce, spices, or toppings. The dishes were not only lackluster but appeared like school cafeteria lunch food - we came to find out we weren't even given the full dish. We returned our entrees as they were quite bland aside from the extreme amount of salt they were laden with. They tasted terrible and had a rubbery/overcooked texture. We proceeded to get strange treatment from Jamie (one of the owners) - her demeanor was psuedo-friendly and very surface with strong undertones of agitation regarding this. This made it difficult for us to feel welcome and we really did not wish to make a scene about this. Jamie offered us another dish - a steak which we ordered "medium/well done". However, we received a piece of meat that was charred on the outside and bloody red on the inside with no toppings, side dishes, sauce, or anything. We attempted to eat what we could of this meat as we were still hungry because the first entree had to be sent back. Though it was obvious to the owner and anyone half-attentive that we were dissatisfied with this, we left the restaurant (3.5 hours later due to poor service!) with a very bad taste in our mouths (literally).
That being said, overnight we reflected upon our overall experience at this restaurant and felt that we really shouldn't have to pay for this horrible experience. So, we called to speak with Marcus and Jamie - the owners about our experience....and boy did it get "interesting"! They proceeded to treat us individually and then together very disrespectfully. It really made the scenario even more concerning- as we were accused of lying, being of ill-intent, cursed at, yelled at, and telling us we "should pay him" (Marcus) for having to deal with us. We were blown away/aghast at how unprofessional we were being treated. Marcus would swing from rudely attacking our character to telling us "to come on over for dinner" and "we could be good friends" to how Marcus was a "tough guy" and had thrown other customers out of his restaurant for not being pleased with their experience there!!! After much time wasted, it turned out that the waiter ordered incorrectly for us and was an error on the restaurant's part. It was also admitted to us that the restaurant intentionally brought us a primarily raw steak. After all of this, we were clear with Marcus and Jamie, that we were not going to return to their restaurant and requested our money back. After further petty game playing and ridiculous/unbelievable/stressful treatment and excuses Marcus told us "maybe" he would do something. After two weeks, we finally did get the majority of our money back for the experience. It is truly difficult to fully express the degree of unwarranted negative demeanor/behavior that we received...talk about "insult to injury". On a final note, we also thought it was bizarre that everyone is being filmed on camera while they are eating. If you're thinking about going....don't do it...it's an Aroma Crime!
