“Suited our luncheon appetites”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

Luncheon on the porch was a delight for us. Even though they seemed short of
servers for a Tuesday - many tables were filled. Portions were sizeable, tasty and beverages quenched our thirst. This historic restaurant was recommended to us by an area business owner. Surroundings are charming and yes, they may need to hire a few more staff. E-town is charming to visit!

“Not so good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

There was only one waitress the night we ate there. She had to serve and buss all the tables in the restaurant and outside dinning too. Needless to say, it took quite a while to get the orders taken and finally be served. Not her fault, she did very well under the conditions, This is all on management. The food was unexceptionable. The worst of it was the shrimp cocktail, it was dried out with freezer burn. We didn't stay for desert, as it would only drag on a long evening an we couldn't envision any thing different than we had already experienced. Sorry we tried it.

“Not so good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Had dinner there last week. We ordered cocktails with the hostess...thank goodness. We watched the one waitress run around taking care of then entire retaurant which included outdoor dining. When she finally had a breath she took our appetizer order...shrimp cocktail. It took quite a while to come out and honestly we have had better shrimp in Applebees. We order dinner a special Pork Tenderloin and a menu item Mahi Mahi. We were on our third cocktail by the time the dinner came....approx 1 hour. Hoping it may have been worth the wait....it was not. Left a lot to be desired...mediocre at best. Unless this was just a bad night, definitely would not recommend it.

“Great bar, music, and fine dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

Open air porch dining with spectacular mountain views, three separate dining rooms inside, a lively bar with music, games. Separate bar menu, or more elegant and upscale fine dining as well.

“Nicest restaurant in the area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

Great place to eat! Food and service was excellent from the warm bread to the blueberry crisp dessert!

I had the Italian Salmon – salmon wrapped in prosciutto and my husband had the filet special. Both came with a salad, green beans and red potatoes.

It’s worth the short drive from Keene Valley to go to dinner here.
