The best thing about this hotel is the free breakfast. It is slightly above average. The busy breakfast attendant does an excellent job... Kudos!

The room and the hotel ammenities are OK, but the photos from VFM Leonardo are staged, professional photos and none of the interior places look quite as good as these photos suggest. At least they are accurate for showing what this place COULD look like if they had better cleaning practices.

Bid Priceline... and you will probably get stuck in a handicap room. The shower-head pole is high enough that this isn't a problem (sometimes handicap rooms have the showerhead way too low at other hotels).

Getting to this place is a little tricky. The roundabout at the Toll Expressway exit has a few turnoffs. I think you have to exit the third turn-off to get to this hotel.

The excellent Destination USA mall is less than a ten minute drive away, and the toll on the expressway is only 20 cents to get there (well worth visiting). Check out the discount coupon books in this hotel's lobby for some savings at the mall.

Room Tip: The handicap rooms in the newer wing toward the back of the hotel have close parking in the interior...

I booked this hotel because the website I use showed it as a 3 star property. The only thing three star was the breakfast. The lobby area is nice but the rooms, that are more important for a traveler, need a lot of work. The paint was peeling from the door, there were cracks in the bathtub area, the bathroom ceiling had stains, the towels were thin and dirty looking to a point that I did not want to use them. The carpet was worn out. Definitely a 1 to 1.5 star hotel. I would definitely not stay there again.

We stayed at this Best Western "plus" for two nights while on a trip to upstate New York. You can tell immediately upon arriving in their parking lot that the building is quite old. The lobby must have been renovated as it looked welcoming and modern. Upon entering the room however, we saw that while the beds and the furniture had been updated, the rest of the room looked like it was straight out of the 80s. The carpet looked as if it was put in when synthetic fiber was first invented! The only thing in the bathroom that looked younger than 30 years old was the sink. The ceiling in the bathroom made popcorn ceilings seem luxurious and made me feel like I was in a third world country. The bathroom was also extremely small. I'm only 5 feet tall, weighing 105lbs, and found myself constantly banging into the sink, the toilet, tub or the door with the lack of space. The shower itself was a retro yellow color with the original fixtures that your grandparents had back in the day.

The hotel was however clean and the service was friendly. The complementary breakfast was pretty average, with scrambled eggs, sausages, bread, muffins etc. Location was great...right next to the major highways.

Given the option, I would have stayed somewhere else much newer but overall the stay was comfortable.

We had a bad stay here! We were exhausted when we checked in and when we woke up the next morning, we discovered that there was no shower curtain or stopper in the tub. We spoke to one of the desk clerks. She said "Oh" and knocked off $20 off of our bill. No apology given. The Internet signal was not very good either. Breakfast was ok. This experience really turned us off of Best Western.

We found this hotel in the coupon book you get at the travel plazas. The beds in the room we comfy and some furniture was nice. The bat tub was yellow and old. There was black stuff on the ceiling. The most disappointing thing was the pool. There was green algae and mold all around the pool and floor. It was obvious the pool had not been cleaned and scrubbed for awhile. My son said the water had a foul oder. For the price we paid for the room the quality was not there.

We recently traveled to the Syracuse area for a sporting event and this hotel was on the list for Syracuse area hotels that we had to choose from to accommodate our group. First of all, we checked in around 4pm on a 82 degree day. The room smelled like smoke and mildew and the air conditioner (which was off) was covered in dust. We dropped our luggage, turned the air conditioning on and left for one of our events. We came back at 8:30pm and the room was still warm! I went down to complain at the desk and a young girl said she would report it and it should be working soon. About an hour and half later, we were ready for bed, went back up to our room and still NO air conditioning. Went down to the desk and another woman was there this time. She told us they are aware of the issue and have been having issues with their air conditioning over the last few days. We had a sports group with several kids staying there to wake up very early to play their games and they had to sweat it out the entire 2 nights we stayed. At least by the 2nd night, they handed out fans. Not a great way to handle large groups at all! They should have warned customers at check in or suggested different hotels if they were not able to meet basic needs! On a positive note, the breakfast was decent and the most of the staff especially the bar staff was great! Got us through the weekend! My suggestion for Best Western. Have a little higher standards so your staff doesn't have to make excuses for what your properties lack! And please don't call it a PLUS unless you have truly renovated more than just the bedding and the sinks! Air conditioning and cleanliness are basic necessities- especially when you are traveling with families!
