We normally stay at the Embassy Suites up the road, but tried this hotel for a change. It isn't as good as Embassy Suites and is generally more expensive. Outdoor pool was OK for summer.

Using a Marriott certificate we booked this hotel as there were no rooms available across the street at the courtyard. We checked in, left our things in the room and went to get dinner after having been on the road for 4 hours. Upon arriving back at the room we opened the pullout for our 9 year old and it was awful. The sheets smelled, the mattress would not flatten out and the support bars were easily felt when laying on the mattress.

As this would not work, we asked for a different room, but none were available. We were offered a rollaway from the courtyard. After discussion, I had them place us in the Courtyard whose rooms are much more recently updated.

This hotel has really old rooms, bathrooms and furniture. Turning on the bathroom light the fan makes so much noise you feel like an airplane is taking off in the room.

This is one of the older style Residence Inns; multiple bulidings with exterior corridors. I have stayed in many Residence Inns and this is one of the poorer ones. Maintenance and housekeeping leave a lot to be desired. Many of the rooms are close to a major highway and can be noisy. The free breakfast is welcome in the morning.

Stayed at Residence Inn on the way back from Rhode Island. We thought Residence Inn would be a good place to stay. The hotel charged $75 for our dog even though we stayed for only 1 night. It was noisy throughout the night, someone on the higher floor was walking around the whole night.

Breakfast was OK.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Oswego from Albany. The hotel is a short drive off of the Thruway. The hotel is set up in multiple small buildings with a pool and picnic area in the middle. It was pretty cold when we got there, so we didn't swim, but the pool looked nice. Our room was on the second floor of building 8. There are no elevators that we saw at this hotel since there are many separate buildings, so if you have a lot of luggage, try to get a first floor room.
The room was nice and pretty clean, with a small kitchen. There was also a fireplace, but you had to get special wood from the front desk, but it may be nice in the winter. The room had one queen bed and a pull out couch that wasn't very comfortable, so it would have been nicer to have two beds, but I don't believe that is offered at this hotel, unless you reserve a multiple-bedroom guest room.
Compared to other Residence Inns we have stayed at, this one was looked much more dated, but it was kept up ok. Overall, the hotel was nothing great, but it was in a good location and was comfortable (other than the sofa bed) to spend the night. If you are looking for a getaway, this isn't the place to go, but if you're in Syracuse for business, or you're just passing through, this hotel is perfectly suitable.

Save your money this place is not worth it. We payed about $200.00 a night to stay at this hotel and it was not worth it. The place is nothing special and if you are planning on cooking bring your own pots and pans and bakeware because all this extended stay hotel will give you is a frying pan from the dollar store to cook with. What a waste of our money. The breakfast was nothing to speak off and had very little stock. I won't stay here next time in the area.

Stayed for 3 nights in May, 2009. It's nothing special but the studio room was quiet, clean and comfortable and, seemingly, a good deal at $90 / night.
