“Great Business Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in September 2013. It was a nice hotel, updated and modern. Nice breakfast selection each morning including coffee/juice/milk, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastry and bread selection, and hot dishes like pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc. Room was clean and comforable with double beds, couch, desk, micro and fridge-no complaints there. I used the fitness center which was nice because it had 3 cardio machines!! The fittness room was a bit small though with no area for stretching or moving around. Hotel seemed quiet at night eventhough the parking lot was packed. Hotel desk staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a pantry in the lobby with snack and drink selections for purchase. This location has a pool but I did not use it. The only real drawback was the size of the fitness center and room doors made a loud noise when closing but overall not disruptive and did not disturb my sleep. The hotel is in kind of a crappy area. The area seems very depressed and industrial. There are a few other hotels in the same area but not many restaurants nearby just a Ruby Tuesday and Jimmy Johns. Other restaurants are a short drive but driving seemed difficult since there arent any clearly laid out blocks everything is in 5 point circles and as I mentioned the surrounding area is depressed. This is a great stop off the NYS Thruway and 690, the Destiny USA mall is a short drive away. Also Downtown Syracuse is a short drive.

Room Tip: 4th floor- no noise from above

Stayed 2 nights..the room is beautiful, although some drawers would have been nice..did'nt need the 2 closets. I like how it is seperated, by a half wall, with sleeping area on one side, and sofa bed, desk, and fridge, microwave and coffee maker on the other.
Breakfast is excellent..assorted cereal, yogurts, muffins, bagels, toast, cinnamon loaf, sliced meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, porridge, fruit, and 2 hot choices..we had scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, one day and potatoe, sausage, onion and pepper hash the next..plus juices, coffee, milk, jams etc.
The only thing missing is a hot tub ...

We stayed only 1 night to attend the NYS Fair. But I would definitely stay again. Very clean rooms and a very pleasant staff. Free breakfast, great waffles, and atmosphere,a little crowded but it was Labor Day weekend. Small pool and exercise room.

Room Tip: Jimmy John's within walking distance

This is one of the best SpringHill Suites I have visited. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered several options for dinner and they were excellent choices. They also provided maps and directions which were "spot on". The rooms were very clean and well designed. The breakfast area was kept cleaned and the food was fresh and hot.

All hotels were full everywhere else, so we came here.
And was 2nd last room available. Glad we didn't have to sleep in minivan. LOL!
Continental breakfast had many choices, but food counters we're squished(had to wait for other guests as they got food).
Room was spacious and even had an IPod/IPhone charger by bed.
No fan in bathroom. Nice separate sink with mirror.
Not good light switch access in room.
Room decor was nice!
Room thermostat on wall...liked that.
Hotel staff was friendly.
Was supposed to be a king-sized bed...hubby called front
Desk and they said," it was their size king sized bed!"
Overall, for the price, not bad.

SpringHill Suites Syracuse Carrier Circle is a nice, clean modern hotel with quite roomy rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel is about 15 minutes to Syracuse University and the downtown area, so not too far out of the way. I have been to Syracuse often and what I like about this hotel is it’s outside the city so it’s quieter. I also like that this is one of the Marriott chains that offeres a free breakfast which was good. I expected a continental breakfast, but they did have a couple hot items on the buffet. We stayed here while visiting Syracuse University and even had time for a AAA baseball game where we saw the Syracuse Chiefs. The ball game was fun and relatively inexpensive!

We stay in a lot of hotels, and frequent Courtyards, Fairfields, Hamptons, and the like on family trips. This is quite easily the best run hotel in this class I have seen. Beyond the expected clean and convenient, this property has a better than usual breakfast, and a culture of helpfulness in the staff.
