“Amazing place to stay Loved loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

I recently spent a weekend away with my daughter celebrating her birthday. I just goggled b and b spa in Long Island so I wasn't sure what we would find. We couldn't have been happier, our room was lovely,Sylvia was so welcoming and helpful, the food was amazing. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place! Oh and also my daughter and I both had fabulous massages that were done right in a cozy room at the INN. She also made us appointments for pedicures at a salon close by. We can't wait to go back. I am plannin a late fall return to her place with my boyfriend.

My husband and I stayed at Quintessentials for a long weekend over Memorial Day. We had a great time! Sylvia, the innkeeper/owner, was welcoming, warm, friendly, funny, and informative. She keeps the house very clean and comfortable. The rooms have bottled water and snacks for the guests, which is a nice touch. Sylvia also provides tea and a sweet treat in the afternoons.

Sylvia's breakfasts were fabulous, which were had on the outdoor deck. The food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was served at 9:45 am, which I thought was great. We didn't feel the need to get up and rush to breakfast. It allowed us to relax before breakfast with a cup of coffee and enjoy the B&B grounds. Also, it allows for time to take a morning walk or do some early morning exploring.

My husband and I both got massages, which we really enjoyed. The spa is right on the premesis. They offer many other treatments, as well.

The surrounding towns were charming and beautiful. We had a great time exploring. Some of the local beaches are gorgeous and pretty secluded. We went to several local wineries for tastings. Some of the vineyards and grounds are breathtaking. We had dinner at The Frisky Oyster, in Greenport, which was delicious. The town of Greenport has many boutiques, shops, and restaurants... a fun place to walk around.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Quintessentials, and we hope to go back for another visit in the future.

I took my partner to Quintessentials as part of his 30th birthday surprise. Sylvia was very welcoming and hospitable. Each morning we sat down to an array of fresh fruit, muffins, biscuits, sausages, frittata, and more. The food was wonderful. I especially liked the personal touch of Sylvia joining us for morning brunch and sharing with us a little about herself while engaging everyone else in conversation about themselves as well. Overall, it was a great relaxing stay and also close by to the many vineyards. It's everything I envisioned in a B&B!

Room Tip: Negril Plantation room with private deck: beautiful views of the gardens and backyard.

My husband and i just returned from a lovely anniverary getaway at Quintessentials. The Innkeeper, Sylvia, was the consummate host - greeting her guests, chatting, giving great insights into the area. She is warm and friendly and made sure we had a special time. She also serves up an awesome breakfast. The Inn is immaculate, inviting and a great place for a couple to have a romantic weekend! I highly recommend Quintessentials to anyone looking for a fun and romantic weekend out on the Island!

As a birthday surprise, my husband booked a short stay at Quintessentials for us. As neither one of us had ever stayed at a B&B before, we were a little uncertain as to what to expect.

When we arrived Sylvia prepared an afternoon tea and baked a birthday cake (complete with a candle and the infamous happy birthday song)

The house had the feel of a warm, welcoming HOME and Sylvia's charm and hospitality made us feel even more at home.

Our room (the Kingston Room) was bright, cheery and immaculately clean!

When we sat down for breakfast the following morning we were treated to a wonderful fresh fruit salad followed by an array of homemade warm and delicious muffins, biscuits, and breads (complete with local jam). Our next "course" was a fabulous frittata!

Our stay was wonderful! Sylvia was amazing! The house was spectacular and loaded with old world charm and character! Not only are we planning on returning this summer, we have recommended Quintessentials to all of our friends and family!
