“A Wonderful Time in East Hampton!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

You can't beat this place. Everything about it is wonderful. Terrific location, right in town, the rooms are charming, the staff is welcoming and accommodating, especially Carol and Rose Marie, and The Palm is the perfect scene for dinner and drinks! I'll be back for sure.

Room Tip: Go in the off season, and enjoy the Wine Dine and Unwind package!

I stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Carolyn and her staff are welcoming and friendly. My room faced Huntting Lane, so it was on the quiet side. Some might say it was that the room was small room, but this a building dating to the colonial period. There was ample room to move around. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Great heating (this was January) a nice sized closet with iron and ironing board. Yes, neatness counts and having an iron/ironing board is a huge plus! The bathroom is a gem, roomy and good water pressure. The continental breakfast is tasty and has a variety to suit any taste. The Palm restaurant has great food and an impressive wine list. I highly recommend the Louis DeMasetro salad. Bar crowd is friendly and the bar has a very nice variety of liquid refreshment.

The main point you need to consider is that the first floor generally has rooms above the restaurant and the bar and they are noisy. On Friday night I had a room above the bar (I was not tomd when booking the reservation that the room I was getting wa sabove the bar) and last call was about 11:30 pm. If you stay up late, this is not an issue, but otherwise consider asking for the location of the room vis a vis the bar and the restaurant. I don't know whether the nosie travels above the first floor. Otherwiese, clean comfortbale room. Nice breakfast.

Super warm and friendly staff, great value in the winter, perfect location and great restaurant/bar on the ground floor. We had a blast, and will certainly return. The room was comfy and clean, and while some might consider them small, it's on par for such an old and historic building.

We took a last minute trip to East Hampton and stayed here for three nights. We simply enjoyed everything about the Huntting Inn. The Inn is paired uniquely with the Palm restaurant were you can realistically "have your 'steak' and eat it too". The Inn staff, Carol, Robin, and Rose Marie (I think we got them all) are super friendly and really go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. Where else can you go and have a a glass of locally harvested vino at a classic wooden bar with a bartender who seems like he's known you forever, a succulent rib eye steak in a restaurant propelled by a staff who's eager to please, and then walk upstairs to a restful night's sleep in truly one of the most comfortable beds I've had the pleasure of resting in. We will be back for sure. Guest here should be excited to enjoy this Inn's rich history accompanied by the modern charm of its staff. Thanks Huntting Inn for making our getaway special. Let me not forget to mention that the Inn's continental breakfast is superior. From fresh bagels with all the spreads to the Nova Scotia lox, capers, and white onion you'll be in a state of morning bliss. Enjoy!

The Inn was very comfortable. It is centrally located and close to everything. The place is very friendly. There was lots of parking. the bar at the Palm was an added bonus. The crowd was friendly and the staff very nice. The Inn's staff was very accomodating and the breakfast was very nice.

Room Tip: We picked a room in front on the second floor. It was great not having anyone above us, but a bit o...

I stay at the Huntting Inn when I go to the area for business. The staff remembers me and is very welcoming. The rooms that I have stayed in are comfortable and each has its own charm. I particularly like the non big hotel feel of them. The breakfast is great, though I do think a little earlier start would be helpful. But there is a Starbucks a short walk away! The location is superb.
