“Very disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Came here for a relaxing meal to end a long holiday weekend in the Hamptons. It's a cute, cozy pub with a neighborhood, friendly feel. After looking at the menu, we ordered our appetizer and asked for water with lemon at the same time. Our waiter was very nice, but he brought out our appetizer, and then asked us if we wanted anything to drink! Huh? We had the scrimpets as our appetizer, which were very tasty (just a little greasy, but they were fried so not surprising). My friend and I both ordered french onion soup, and were both surprised how sweet it was. I don't know if they used sweet onions, or it was a sweet broth, but it didn't taste the way either of us expected it to, and we were disappointed. Then our turkey burger came. Thankfully we weren't that hungry and decided to split one instead of each get our own! It had absolutely NO flavor to it---it was very, very bland. It tasted more like the dry turkey you get on Thanksgiving than an actual turkey burger. Very surprised at the experience we had, and unfortunately won't go back the next time I'm in the Hamptons.

“Ewe”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

The food was really salty and greasy and the service was slow. One child wanted a small serving of gravy to go with his fries, and that cost 2 dollars! Unfair!

“Lovely bar and restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We just had a great meal here with 6 adults and 4 kids. The staff were very attentive. We were on two tables and they really looked after the kids table. The food was good except a veggie kebab which was under cooked. The french onion soup was tasty but far too much cheese on top. we're english so prefer things a bit lighter. The burgers and clam chowder were lovely. It is a bit over priced, but hey it's East Hampton. Great choice with kids or a quick burger.

“Great Burgers, but horribly abysmal service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

7 of us for lunch. The place wasn't even half full and the hostess could not figure out where to seat us. Since most of the seating is 'bar' seating we pulled a couple of tables together and sat ourselves. Our waiter was nice enough, but only 1 out of 4 burger plates was served correctly. The pregnant lady was served a raw burger. Nobody checked on us after the food was served. We had to ask 3 waiters to help us and that took 10 minutes. We had to eat in front of our friend, since they only ordered her food AFTER we physically hunted down the waiter. We sent the raw burger back, and they made a new burger, but got ALL of the toppings wrong. And don't ask for an extra pickle with your burger, that will be a "Side" which will cost you another $2. The burgers, fries, fish and chips and chicken kabobs were very good. But the chili is pretty bland and tastes like it was just some mix purchased at the local supermarket.

“Good Food But Overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The food is always a little better than average. However, the price is always much more than it should be for the fare. I would rate this much more highly if it were priced better. The best thing they have on the menu, by far, are their hamburgers and fries -- fries are very good. The onion soup is very good, too, but way too expensive for what you are getting. Salads expensive. Be prepared if you want an appetizer and an entree to be spending a lot.
