Came here for a relaxing meal to end a long holiday weekend in the Hamptons. It's a cute, cozy pub with a neighborhood, friendly feel. After looking at the menu, we ordered our appetizer and asked for water with lemon at the same time. Our waiter was very nice, but he brought out our appetizer, and then asked us if we wanted anything to drink! Huh? We had the scrimpets as our appetizer, which were very tasty (just a little greasy, but they were fried so not surprising). My friend and I both ordered french onion soup, and were both surprised how sweet it was. I don't know if they used sweet onions, or it was a sweet broth, but it didn't taste the way either of us expected it to, and we were disappointed. Then our turkey burger came. Thankfully we weren't that hungry and decided to split one instead of each get our own! It had absolutely NO flavor to it---it was very, very bland. It tasted more like the dry turkey you get on Thanksgiving than an actual turkey burger. Very surprised at the experience we had, and unfortunately won't go back the next time I'm in the Hamptons.
