“Great dinner and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We had dinner at Race Lane on a Saturday night. They sat us outside which was very charming. A all brick patio with comfortable outdoor heaters. Our waiter, Shane was extremely pleasant and accommodating. We had fish and pork chops which were served beautifully and had incredible flavor. The staff was friendly and the food was really good. The bill came to $140 for two which included 2 appetizers and no drinks.

“Maybe B/C itwas off season and quiet..but i loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Went on Saturday night...in March. The owner who sat us was lovely. Started with drinks at the bar. Nice pour, but pricey...but its EH.
Food, selection , service, atmosphere and ability to talk was top notch.
Its a bit expensive...but..oh did I say its EH
Cant say anything bad...had a great meal served by a knowledgeable and well prepared gemtleman.
Right on the top of my hamptons list of fine dining.

“thanksgiving splendor!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

What a wonderful evening ! We were made to feel very welcome...we came in with our 2 children and were seated right by the fireplace...we had 3 course American style thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings - roast turkey, sweet mashed potato, Autumn vegetables, pie for dessert...perfection! Furthermore, the staff were wonderful. Our children were well accommodated with pasta when we decided that the 3 courses were too much for them - (although only $18 for 3 courses for the kids) and we were overall pleased with everything. We will most surely recommend this wonderful place to all our friends and look forward to returning in the near future. This wonderful restaurant will enhance anyone's visit to the Hamptons!!!

“Bad Experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Last Saturday they were having a party at the bar.
This is not a large restaurant and it was really loud.
Our table was close to the bar and we were told by the owner not to worry b/c the party would be over shortly.
About 30 min later when there was no sign of the noise letting up and more food was being bought out to the group at the bar we asked again.
And then we asked again. Bottom line--each time we were told the group was leaving--they never left--but we did after an most unenjoyable (and not cheap) dinner. Being up front in the first place would have been the right thing to do--instead they alienated two loyal customers.

“Delicious and Nicely Priced . . . . . If you go for their early Pre Fixe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

We hadn't been to this restaurant before and were very pleased with our experience. We did go before 6:30pm on a Saturday for their $30. three course and feel this is how we will go to this place as otherwise many entrees are in the $30. range and the bill will add up very quickly.
The nice thing about this 3 course pre fixe is that one can choose from almost anything on their menu. I began with a tri-colored beet salad. The presentation was very impressive. The salad was good but not great. My spouse had the Bibb lettuce which was apparently fairly good although sparce on walnuts. But we both loved our entrees. Mine was sea scallops with a puree of sweet potato, some brussel sprouts, and hearts of palm. The scallops were moist and perfectly seasoned and they went wonderfully with the puree of sweet potatoes. The dish was a winner. My spouse raved about the salmon and the vegetables accompanying them. I tasted the dish and understood why. My meal ended with their chocolate bread pudding which was special. We will definitely return.
