This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. They took care of us so nicely. They really treated us like family. I will never go to any hotel except for this one in NY ever again. Everyone has to stay there. I'm sure u will fall in love with this hotel!!! Also the food is awesome!

all the staff (front desk, van drivers, managers, late night cook) i meet were pleasant. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable and warm covers. The hotel is worn, the hallways decor and my room looked this way. I was given this room by Usair because my flight was cancelled, so I got what I paid for. If looking for a good place to sleep this is the place.

Really enjoyed my staying in Clarion hotel recently. The frontdesk staff are very friendly and helpful. They are so patient in answering all my questions. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is great for travel to city and La guardia Airport. Absolutely I will choose to stay in this hotel again when I travle to NYC next time.

I recently stayed there while working Hurricane Sandy relief. The Management, Staff, Cooks and Valet made my stay absolutly wonderful. There is nothing better than returning after a 12-16 hour work day to find such accomidating and pleasing staff smiling and ensuring your comfort. Vanessa was extremly helpful with all the advise of the surrounding area and ensuring our room was perfect. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Just ask the front desk and you will recieve!!

Thank you so much for your generous review of The Clarion LGA. The whole staff was so grateful to all the people who came to work in NY to help with the Sandy Hurricane releif effort. We considered ourselves very lucky to get to know many of you while you stayed her in New York. We don't always get to have guests staying with us for such long periods of time and are so happy to hear that we made your stay comfortable.
For guest working in the area like yourself, we have made a number of changes to accommodate the long stays and make long term guests feel more comfortable. We have added microwave & refrigerators to rooms to accommodate the longer stays. We have made changes to our dinner menu. I personnaly try to find out the needs of these guests to help them better navigate the local area, so as to make the most of their stays. I am so happy to hear it paid off.
I hope that if and when you return to the NYC area you will come stay with us again and say hello to your family and home away from home!

i would like to recommend this hotel for new york city tourist. staff are friendly, helpful. the hotel itself isnt that perfectly clean but otherwise comfortable enough for my family. location is good. the bus stop is just across the street for the nearest subway.and rental companies is just behind the hotel premises.one thing i can say is that their room has no Temp control. so, it just get too hot at night and you have to cracked the window open to get some cold air in. as per front desk staff advises us to do. the free bfast was okay, although too crowded. i will stay there again!

Room Tip: get a room front of the building.

My family of four stayed at the Clarion Hotel La Guardia this week on our way to visit family. We live in Ct, so it is easier for us to drive down to NYC the night before the flight so we don't fight rush hour traffic in the morning. This was our first trip flying out of Laguardia, and thus our first stay at the Clarion.

The Good (a/k/a The Acceptable):

The room was clean enough. The building is old, and it won't blow you away for being spotless or anything, but we didn't see anything offensive. The room itself was average size, perhaps slightly larger than average for NYC hotels. Breakfast in the morning was fine - toast, cereal, waffles, hard-boiled eggs, etc. Surprisingly good coffee from a machine.

The Bad:

The building is old and doesn't have much (any?) insulation or sound proofing between rooms. Consequently, we were treated to listening to the party going on in the room next door and in the hallway until about 1 a.m. and then resuming at about 5:30. With 2 small kids in our room, we just wanted to get some sleep, and the noise made it difficult. Additionally, the room was HOT! And, keep in mind, this was December and the outside temperature was in the 30's. The AC unit only worked intermittently at best and we spent a lot of time with the windows open. Not idea under any circumstances.

Why I would still go back:

Despite an average to below-average experience, I would still recommend this hotel for those people looking for a place that is close to Laguardia and has a good parking deal. The Clarion offers a parking deal that includes a week of parking w/ a room for around $240 all-in. The parking lot is adjacent to the hotel and there is a free shuttle to Laguardia (only about 2 minutes away). For that reason (and little other) I would go back to the Clarion.

I'm so happy to hear that you took advantage of our great Park-N-Fly package. It is a great deal! Our shuttle service is quick and reliable. Our parking is safe and a great value. And our rooms are clean and comfortable. I 'm sorry you were not 100% satisfied. In the future if you should have any problems with noisy neighbors or climate control our front desk is ready 24hrs a day to help and better accommodate you.
Currently we offer a nice deluxe continental breakfast but coming soon we will be offering hot breakfast items as well, so keep an eye out!

The room was clean and comfortable but needs updating. The strangest thing were the hallways that went uphill or downhill. If your in a wheelchair you had better have good brakes. The hallways are noisy and can wake you up if your a lite sleeper. If your catching a flight get down to the shuttle early as it fills fast and the shuttle driver has no regard for your time. there is no order to the shuttle, the fastest to the van gets in. The lobby did call a cab and pay for people to get to the airport

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for your review. Our shuttle runs 24hours a day, 24/7 so that we can try to accommodate every guest going/coming from LGA. The shuttle runs on a schedule, though with heavy demand runs more frequently as needed. It is firsat come forst serve, and we do ask guests to give themselves enough time to get to the sirport, should they have to wait for the next shuttle. Fortunately, the trip to the airport is so short and quick, that the shuttle usually returns within 15 minutes or so.
