“decent place for the price in NYC”

I was a bit worried when trying to book a hotel near LGA because most of the places in our price range didn't have great reviews. The LaGuardia Airport Hotel is definitely a decent option in the mid-$100 range.

The room (a king bed room in the "tower") was plenty big enough to accommodate us, our son's pack-n-play and 2 weeks worth of luggage. Bathroom was bigger than I expected and the only problem was that the toilet ran constantly. The room could definitely use a good cleaning - my socks were BLACK after walking around the room for a few hours. But the rest of the room and bathroom were not visibly dirty. One thing I didn't like was that the black-out curtains in the room didn't meet together...not a small hole - enough to accommodate the entire A/C unit! Our room faced the highway and airport, so it was really bright inside until I clipped the curtains together with a chip-bag clip. That worked for the one night we were there, but that could get annoying for a longer stay.

We decided not to eat in the hotel restaurant (a bit pricey and not many options), but after asking the front desk for pizza suggestions, we ordered from a place that delivered right to the hotel (Angelo's Pizzeria in Corona, NY). The pizza arrived to the hotel within 40 min of ordering and was under $15 for the entire order.

The hotel shuttle runs every 20 min, but was running a little late the morning we used it. No problems accommodating all the guests who needed to use it at 6am.

“Average Hotel for good price”

Looking for a deal I booked this hotel on hotwire. You don't know what you get until after you pay with hotwire so I was a little worried after I got the name and saw some of the reviews. It definitely wasn't as bad as I had antipated, but it is a bit worn. The furniture & rugs are old & stained, but the bed was comfortable and overall it seemed clean. We were there during a warm/humid spell and the room was cool and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpfull. There is a shuttle that goes to the airport every 20 mins, and from there you can catch mass transit to ANYWHERE in NY. The food in the hotel restaurant was average and a bit pricy, and there aren't any other restaurants within walking distance. This hotel is close to LaGuardia Airport and also close to Shea Stadium. This was a decent value for the price of $129 per night that we paid for the room. It is not easy to find bargains in NY.

“Dirty and Disgusting”

LaGuardia Airport Hotel

This is a dirty and disgusting place. Would not stay here for free again. I would rather sleep at the airport on the floor.

“this is a great hotel”

LaGuardia Airport Hotel

May 29, 2008

this hotel is great and it is fast to check in. the staff is friendly and helpful. the rooms are very clean, and not that big but they arent too small eather. it is a great hotel where no one bothers you and you will definetly feel peace. IT DOES NOT HAVE BUGS. THAT IS NOT TRUE . the hotel is very elegant and there are no train stations around but u can easily walk around the area. there are houses around the hotel and the airport is probably 2 blocks from the hotel. YOU CANNOT HEAR HE PLANES. in fact u can bearly see them. the closest train station is on Junction st where u can take the 7 train and it is like 5 minutes away in a cap that charged me only 10 dollars to get there.
I HOPE MY REVIEW HELPS BECAUSE WHEN I WANT TO GO TO A HOTEL THIESE ARE THE QUESTIONS I USUALLY HAVE.

“omg bed bugs”

LaGuardia Airport Hotel

May 16, 2008

the stay started out fair enough quick and easy check in, friendly staff, and a nice lobby i was happy untill i arrived into the room. just as i put my bags down it felt like i was in the Arctic and needed a parka just to get to the bed, it turned out they had the heat off on that floor so they moved me into another room and gave me a free coupon for breakfast { which was nice}. then i arrived into the second room all seemed ok untill i went to bed. at first i thought i was just getting use to a new bed but my skin just kept crawling and really itchy i finally got up and put the lights on and the bed was filled w/ bed bugs.i could deal with a cold room but bugs no thank you...
