The Hampton Inn LaGuardia is a fairly new hotel. It is one mile from LGA. The rooms are nice and clean, no frills, and the free breakfast is more than just continental. They usually have cooked eggs, and sausage/bacon. The Belgium waffles are a staple not to mention the hot oatmeal, fruit and various cereals and breads. The breakfast crew is great: friendly and helpful.

They have a small fitness room with treadmills and dumbbells. The Hampton is right next door to LaGuardia Plaza Hotel (older hotel) which has an indoor pool and a restaurant/bar. Good area if you have business in Queens: Astoria, Long Island City. Be prepared to rent a car or take multiple modes of transportation:Bus, train, walk. It is not as easy to get taxis in this part of NYC (especially compared to Manhattan). However the hotel has a complementary shuttle that will take you to LGA. From there you can get anywhere. Did I mention that the price is right?! Nice hotel, especially for the area and price.

A hotel today that doesn't have wifi in the room? An airport hotel?? What is it the 1990's? I will not stay here again when I am in New York unless they add wifi on the rooms. Offered to bring in router but that is too much.

Thank you for staying with us. I understand your concern and we will be looking into this and trying to find ways to resolve this, in our short term plans. However, internet is free of charge in the rooms and it is wired, it is already set up for guests to use. We will be happy to assist at any time shall you need help connecting or setting up your devices. In addition, we do provide wifi in all our common areas free of charge as well. We do hope that you will choose to stay with us again on your next visit due to all our other wonderful amenities and the services we provide.

I flew into JFK from Europe and decided to take inter airport bus to La Guardia and stay overnight in hotel close to La Guardia Airport to take early a.m. flight home the following day. Very convenient. Nice hotel with breakfast with shuttle to airport.

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the quick breakfast a plus. They only have Ethernet cables in the rooms which does not help my iPad. The shuttle service is frequent and only five minutes from airport.

Not a bad hotel. But there is no restaurant, no pool (located next door), and no wifi in the rooms. To eat or swim they recommend you go to their sister hotel next door. To get wifi you need to hang out in the lobby. Next time I will just stay at the sister hotel (LaGuardia Hotel) instead of the Hampton. The worst thing of all was the room rate. I received Hamptons US Government rate ($241), if anyone off the streets books the same room, its only $189. It's nice to see the Hampton taking care of the troops by charging them $52 more than everyone else..

Thank you for your feedback. We do serve complimentary breakfast every day at the Hampton Inn, as you mention the LaGuardia Plaza hotel next to us is open for lunch and dinner. We do offer wired complimentary internet in the rooms and it is all set up for guests to use, should you need assistance we will be happy to help. WiFi is available in all common areas. In regard to the rate; the Government Rate is a lower percentage of our rack rates. Based on when you make the reservation that percentage is taken off those current rates. As our availability fluctuates the rates either increase or decrease based on rooms available. Should you need to discuss this further feel free and reach out to me and i will be happy to discuss. We value our troops and show it by all the different ways we implement to show our continuous support.

First, there are shuttle issues at this hotel. Call the hotel as soon as your flight lands and request a shuttle pick-up. My experience was it took about an hour to arrive from the time of my call. Shuttle service TO the airport from the hotel is much more predictable and runs every 20 minutes. There is also shuttle service to the Line 7 Subway station every hour during many (but not all) hours of the day, which departs on the hour. There is no shuttle service FROM the Subway station to the hotel, but many city buses stop in front of the hotel. My room was clean, modern and quiet. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with lots of hot water and good pressure, but there was no bathtub. A single cup coffee maker is provided but there is no fridge in the room. Coffee and tea service is provided 24/7 in the Lobby and there is free continental breakfast for all guests. My room was located at the end of the hall and had a poor w-fi signal, but the in-room wired internet connection was fine. There are not many places to eat in the area, but local Chinese food delivery was extremely fast and reasonably priced. The gym was acceptable for basic exercise, with treadmills, bikes and elipitical trainers, yoga mats, weighted balls, an adjustable weight bench, dumbbells up to 50 lbs., bottled water and towels. Except for an underinflated exercise ball, the Precor branded equipment was well maintained. If you are so unfortunate as to have to stay at LGA during a trip to New York, this hotel is recommended as a reasonable place to stay particularly when the $69/night rate paid on Hotwire is considered.

Room Tip: My last room on teh end of the hall was very quiet but a long walk to elevator.

Convenience, convenience, convenience!!!! This hotel is close to LGA airport with free shuttle available to and from the airport, although a shuttle is not needed if you don't mind a little walking. Less then a 10 minute walk to the airport from the hotel with easy access. There is also a shuttle to the subway line 7 into Manhattan every day on the top of the hour. Public transportation is also available for late night returns to the hotel.

The hotel also has a full free buffet style breakfast every morning. There is a business center with internet access in the lower level of the hotel. Also free wi-fi in the lobby of the hotel but no wi fi in the rooms. A hard line is available in each of the rooms.

No pool or spa in the hotel. Nearest restaurant is in the hotel next to the Hampton.

Overall I give the hotel a 8 out of 10
