“Charm, comfort, yet all the amenities!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

We had a nice, comfortable, relaxing stay for a weekend escape. You can really tell that Jodie the innkeeper is passionate about her inn. She was so helpful in recommending a great restaurant in Lenox, MA. Breakfast was so yummy, homemade quiche. The beyond comfortable bed linens made it difficult to wake up! Modern amenities with the look and feel of old time charm (there's nothing worse than a B&B where the floors creak and you can hear everyone...NOT so in this case!!!). We had the Loft Suite, very private. The photos on the web site were very true to the actual room. Easy to find off the highway. Now, we have to think of another reason to escape back up that way!!

Room Tip: Room choice depends on what size bed you want. There are two very private rooms off to one wing (on...

Thank you for taking the time to let future guests know about your good experience! We were glad to hear that you had a nice day touring the local gardens, and that you enjoyed the complimentary tour of Olana Historic Site that we offer to our guests. Aren't the views of the Hudson River from the balcony magnificent? Also very pleased to hear how much your enjoyed the Comphy sheets featured in most of our rooms - we think they are the very best! We look forward to seeing the two of you again!

Great stay.. Spotless and well appointed room, delicious breakfast and comfortable bed. If you're headed to columbia county, stay here. Close to chatham and berkshire towns. Enjoy the beautiful living room and library or go out and explore. Terrific hospitality includes coffee, tea, snacks and good advice on where to go and what to do. We stayed in king room which was quiet and private. We only stayed one night but will certainly back. Breakfast was fresh and served to order and a good chance to sit alone or interact with other guests. The inn is set on a large piece of land with views of nearby mountain. We explored the area and had a great dinner in Chatham, just 10 minutes away.

My fiance and I were looking for a great B&B to stay at while skiing for the weekend....we came across the Inn at Silver Maple Farm which was exactly what we were looking for! Situated half way between Jiminy Peak and Catamount (about 1/2 hour to get to either mountain), the location was just perfect! Jodei was a wonderful host who went out of her way to cater to us and see that we had everything we needed. The spacious main room, sitting area, and dining rooms are decorated beautifully! Lovely vaulted ceilings with beams and a wood burning stove make this area very cozy. The room we stayed in was exactly what was pictured on the site so there were no surprises......the bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were so soft and comfy. Jodie made a wonderful breakfast each morning which consisted of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and then a hot selection, which varies from day to day. I can't say enough about this wonderful Inn. You will NOT be disappointed if you stay here! We plan on returning again next time we plan a ski trip to the area. Thanks Jodie for being such a wonderful host!!

Thank you for the wonderful review and so glad to know that your first bed and breakfast experience was a great one! Splitting your weekend between Catamount and Jiminy Peak for skiing was a great idea - I am glad the two of your enjoyed yourselves, as well as the Inn. Looking forward to seeing you again!

If you are looking for a quick getaway, I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. From the moment we walked in my friend and I were treated as if we had been life long friends with the owner. Jodie [---] is a wonderful host and makes a mean breakfast in the morning.

You walk into the main room and there is a little sitting area, then the main living room/dining room and then a library which is stocked with a little bit of everything. There are vaulted exposed beam ceilings and a gorgeous fireplace.

Our room was cozy (like any good B&B should be) but had a modern bathroom with a hairdryer. There is a wrap around porch with Adirondack chairs for a lovely evening chat.

This gem is just a short trip to Tanglewood, Williamstown, Stockbridge and Hudson. My friend and I are trying to see when we can go back.

Room Tip: The website has good pictures of each room and they all have a little bit of a different flavor to t...

We got stuck in a snowstorm while driving further north and we're so relieved when Jodie answered the phone and said she had a room available for me, my husband, and our one year old son. What began as an accidental arrival turned into a wonderful stay. The grounds are beautiful, our room was just what we needed, and the huge, cozy lobby was the perfect place to sit on the couch in front of the fireplace while our boy toddled a round. Breakfast was delicious, the other guests were very friendly, and Jodie couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We'll definitely be back- next time on purpose. :) by far one of the best bed and breakfast experiences we've had.

I am so happy we were able to rescue your birthday weekend! We loved having your family - your beautiful baby was such a hit with the other guests! Next time, pack your skis and snowboard, and we will make a fun weekend out of it. Thanks so much for being such friendly guests, and thank you for sharing your positive experience with other travelers - we really appreciate both the support and feedback. See you soon.

Open, welcoming common areas invite you to relax. The room is comfortable with every necessary amenity. Tea and cookies available when the munchies attack. Situated in a location perfect for enjoying all that is available in the Berkshire area. Even more welcoming and enjoyable is your hostess, Jodie who beams at her guests' arrival, can help plan an itinerary, is familiar with special events in the area, eager to assist if needed and just a lovely woman with whom to spend time chatting. We look forward to our next visit!

We have stayed at The Inn at Silver Maple Farm many times - visiting friends -- seeing the Fall foliage -- going to Tanglewood -- skiing Catamount -- and every time - every season -- the inn is exactly what we're looking for in a weekend escape from the city. It is beautifully done with exposed beams, big rooms, super comfortable beds and warm cookies and afternoon tea to boot. The innkeeper, Jodie is so friendly and welcoming and really takes pride in her inn. You could even just sit in the great room with a good book and feel a sense of calm after a long drive. It is the perfect getaway and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming place in Berkshire or Columbia county! Looking forward to our next trip already! Gina G, NYC
