“A very good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

My wife and I lived in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area for 41 years before now moving to Marana, Arizona. After our van loaded, it was too late in the evening to depart on our trip, so we decided to try out the Comfort Inn, a place that was no more than three miles from our former home.

It was a very good choice in many ways. The room was attractive and clean. The beds were comfortable (something very much appreciated after all that had come before that day and in the days before).

Two criticisms: The luggage carts are pretty clunky, especially when used over the tile in the lobby--very noisy. And the toilet paper holders were in a very strange position--pretty much hidden on the side of the vanity and pretty much out of reach when you are sitting on the toilet seat (well off to the left and mostly behind you).

The breakfast was nothing to get excited about--but that's almost always the case.

First the good, Room was good, breakfast was "good" ( had to microwave it ) Now the bad, No Microwave in the room, was "ok" clean ( found more dust than I imagined ), The room did have a refridgerator that was at best noisy, apparently they do not use seals around the door so you not only get the hallway light plus the added bonus of being able to hear every noise in the hall. Walked around and found that the hallways (much like my room ) were in need of a visit from Mr Orek as the baseboards were dirty.
If these are things you acept then the room was really good..............

Room Tip: well lit parking, plug-ins for trucks

We stopped at this hotel due to a snow storm on Dec 26th,2012. It sits right by I 90 . Upon arrival the young man at the reception was very courteous and checked us in very quickly. We liked the room very much. Looked like it had just been renovated. Spacious and very clean. Beds were very comfortable too. We did not expect much and were pleasantly surprised. They offer a basic breakfast with bread, packaged pastries eggs and sausage, and make your own waffles. More than enough to start you off. The only reason why I can't say this stay was flawless is that the people supposed to plow snow did an awful job. I saw many cars having the hardest time getting out of their parking spots, and it took us a lot of shoveling before we could even start the car. The plow that came by shoved all the snow from the pathway onto the cars , and made a huge wall of snow making it hard to get out. Other than that we had a great and restful night at this hotel .

This hotel is very well maintained. It's right off the interstate and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. But the most impressive thing about it is the newly renovated rooms. Very updated and clean. I would definately stay there again.

Our pricey room had a jaccuzi that we could not use because it sounded like a freight train and kept turning off and coming back on. When we spoke to the manager upon checkout about it, she pretty much said it was our fault for not letting the desk know before checkout and because we booked through hotels.com , we could not be compensated. Very poor customer service from her and not even an apology.

Room Tip: Don't book through hotels.com because if you have any issues, you won't be compensated by th...

room was good sized and clean and quiet. Breakfast was adequate. Front desk help was nice to me but not to 3 young ladies who had no reservaton and asked for help finding another hotel. the price was high for a Comfort Inn but I understand that there was a lot going on that weekend in the area so suppose they increased the prices

I usually come to this area once a year and I always stay at the Comfort Inn. Why? Because it is clean, convenient and friendly. Why is it so pricey? Can't figure that one out but most of the other hotels in the area that are not as nice are in the same price range. Go figure.
