“Wonderful Adventure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

My husband and I dropped our Grandson's off at the Buffalo Airport on July 1st and decided to go on a little adventure with it being a long weekend in Canada. Instead of heading back home we drove to the Finger Lakes Region to Seneca Lake. Upon finding this beautiful region we were came across a number of wineries, which by the way is one of our favourite things to do, and we were looking for a place to stay overnight. One of the wine tasters recommended the Inn at Glenora so we drove to the Dundee area and came across the Inn. It was an enchanting site to see as the actual winery is at the top of the hill by the main road and the Inn is located a little further down with a stunning view of the vineyards and the lake. We took a room with a king-size bed, fireplace, jacuzzi tub. We were not disappointed once we opened the doors. The room was a fair size, the bathroom was huge with a walk-in shower and the balcony provided us with 2 anarondack chairs, table and a breath-taking view. We were more than pleased. The Inn offers a large dine in or out restaurant, a small bar area and an outdoor gas firepit of which we sipped our free sparkling wine offered from the reception desk. Our overall experience was magical and we would definitely go back to this Inn.

Rooms were impeccable each with a mini deck on the lake (adirondack chairs - ahhh). Each room had a complimentary bottle of wine and we were given wine tasting vouchers for each day of our stay. Would highly recommend. Huge washroom, good quality linens, beds a bit soft but hey that's just my opinion. Unfortunately there was no pool for the kids but we went to Watkins Glen for a hike at the state park and there was an olympic size pool there. Would highly recommend for couples. There are cheaper places to stay if you are with travelling with kids though in Watkins Glen just down the road.

Room Tip: lower level rooms have decks that give out directly on the grass if you want to easily travel betwee...

We just returned from an overnight at Glenora Inn. It could not have been better! We did the wine/dine package, which included a room, a cheese/fruit platter & a bottle of wine, & $100 gift card to use in their restaurant. When we checked in, we learned that we each got a complimentary glass of wine right then, plus coupons for the 2 of us to do a wine tasting at the winery on the day of check in AND check out, 2 more comp bottles in the fridge in our room (and after tasting at the winery, we were allowed to trade in the bottles for any other variety we wanted), along with 2 comp bottles of water. Jakerah & Adele at the front desk were really helpful and friendly. That night, the restaurant happened to be doing a wine pairing dinner. For $50/person (and we had that gift card!), we got 5 courses & 5 glasses of wine. Let's face it - the wine alone would have cost us the price of our meal at another restaurant! The food was delicious & the experience was wonderful - we ate on the balcony looking over the lake & Sarah & Hallie provided amazing service. All of the rooms have a view of the vineyard/lake, with adirondack chairs on the patio or balcony. Everything was so peaceful & beautiful! The room was very comfortable, the shower was wonderful - and we couldn't hear anything from the rooms next to or below us. When we were walking down the hall from dinner, we could hear a toddler in the room next to us crying. We cringed, since we'd purposely left our 5 small children at home, but as soon as we got into our room & closed the door, we couldn't hear anything! The next morning, we had breakfast in the restaurant & it was wonderful. (Highly recommend the andoulle sausage wrap!) I think this is our new favorite place!

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms - every one has a view & a balcony/porch.

My husband and I stayed one night and everything was great. The room and bathroom were huge and clean. We were given a glass of champagne at check-in mmmm good peach spumante. There was a bottle of wine and two bottles of water in the refrigerator in the room. You were able to switch the bottle of wine to whatever else you liked. We were given coupons for free wine tastings for each day we were there. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and gormet. There was even a treadmill and eliptical machine in the fitness center. The beds were comfy.

excellent hotel, a little expensive. The hotel room is very nice, with excellent view of the lake. The restaurant was not very good, but their wine is very good. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Room Tip: get the rooms on top floor to enjoy the view.

This is the first time in my life I have ever been driven to write a review about anything. This was, to be honest, one of the worst meals I have ever had. The shrimp was extremely fishy, the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. I would not come to eat here again even if it was free. I would have rathered lighting eighty dollars on fire, or maybe eaten it. Overpriced and inedible.
