My husband and I recently spent two nights camping at Cherry Hill. We were going to Darien Lake to attend a concert, but love to camp and wanted to be responsible about any driving concerning the concert. (If it were not for Darien's new pedestrian policy-we could have walked right across the street to the show. We booked the campsite only: this was very simple, and we received an email confirmation. The campsite is well appointed with plantings, birdhouses, flowers and other nice touches. The campsites vary from open grassy areas to more wooded and secluded spaces. All very clean and lush. No bare areas or ruts from traffic. Also, all of the sites are quite level and it was easy to find a spot to put up the tent. The owners were very friendly, but did not intrude unless something was needed. There is a handy store on the property where they sell lots of essentials. Firewood was a more than reasonable price, and the owner brought it right to our site for us on his tractor. The bathrooms were kept very clean, and there are showers on site along with a large sink for washing dishes, etc. Darien Lake requires a minimum two day stay on concert evenings for all of their on site lodging. At the time of our booking, they (Darien Lake) were charging $106 PER NIGHT for their campsites. We stayed at Cherry Hill for two nights for less than what Darien Lake was charging for one...and that included the $15 worth of firewood that we bought. So, if you are planning to attend a concert at Darien Lake, and not visit the theme park; as we did...then Cherry Hill Campground is an awesome deal, and the only way to go as far as I am concerned. We would definitely stay here again!
