The room was clean not very big, we just needed a place to sleep for the night and shower. They charged us $142.00 for the night. That was totally overpriced. We literally had a bed and and bathroom. There was no pool, no lounge and if we were not so tired from a day of riding our Harley we would have gotten back on the interstate and found another place to stay. The restaurant we had dinner in said they really over charged us.

We won tickets to a St. Bonaventure Mens Basketball game for February 14, 2009. I looked for a hotel near the college but all were booked solid. I found this Econolodge while looking for hotels close to Olean. What a great find! The hotel is located in Cuba, NY which is only about 10-15 minutes away from the college. It is right off the I-86 and very easy to find. What's more, the price was great and the rooms were very clean. It is your basic Econolodge- no real perks except continental breakfast in the morning- but our room did have a microwave and a fridge. They also have a pop machine, snack machine and ice machine. All in all, a good hotel at a good price.

My family stayed here recently on a trip to visit additional family living in the area. The room was large and nicely contained a small refrigerator we used and a microwave we did not. There was no iron or ironing board. We needed a roll away. It easily fit in our room with two double beds with tons of room left over. For the most part the room was clean. The tops of the bathroom walls did have spots of mold growing and the wallpaper was not completely together at the seams. There was little ventilation for shower steam. When taking a shower the water would be warm and then, without warning turn hot. I guess when someone else shut off their shower......? The kids would sometimes go down with Grandma and get breakfast. Basic raisin bran and frosted flakes for cereal, bagels, muffins, coffee, and juice were items they brought back. I am unsure of any other choices.

The biggest problem we had was that each night when we returned to the room we had to kill 5-7 earwigs that we would find crawling around. We had children age 2-10 with us. I was concerned about the bugs getting on them in our sleep. Management said they were aware and treating them. It was still icky..... We even found one on my daughter's carry on when we were checking in at the airport to leave.

They also like to turn off the air conditioning and leave the windows open. This would take place while we were gone all day. I know Cuba is not like the Florida I live in, but we didn't care for the lack of security this created.

We stayed here and it was a nice quiet night away, The room was clean and the bathroom was huge. The town of Cuba was lovely and had alot of charm. We even saw a Amish horse and buggy early in the morning. Don't miss a stop at the Cuba Cheese Shoppe and there is a great restaurant in Portville NY not far on RT 305 called Spagues Maple Farms great place. Make sure you take a ride around Cuba Lake too, very picturesque. All in All a great getaway.

We found this hotel through a credit card program. Our destination was the Casino in Salamanaca. We really didn't expect much, but were pleasently surprised. Very quiet location just of interstate 86. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was presented well and fresh. The overall experience was great. We highly recommend this motel.

We have stayed here a few times as it is near Houghton college where our daughter attends. The rooms are clean, and the ones with two double beds are very spacious, beds are comfortable, and the breakfast was fine and you can fill up on it. They now offer bagels with the cereals and pastries. The owners are very nice and friendly too.

  • Liked — Spzcious rooms that have a refrigerator and microwave
  • Disliked — Needs a pool
