This is your basic economy hotel. We paid $120/nt. The rooms are pretty basic, two beds, small fridge. There is an indoor pool. Staff is friendly. You can get a breakfast buffet which has the typical omelets, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, cereal for $8.99. There is a very small gym with 3 pieces of equipment, a treadmill, elliptical & bike. Elliptical needed servicing. The hotel is located right off the highway.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

We stayed there April 26, 2013 because we have stayed at several Ramada's and they are usually pretty good. This town is not too large, but had 5 hotels close to !-81, but only 2 had restaurants and we wanted one we could go to our room and then have dinner without having to leave the hotel. People at the gas station recommended the Ramada, and their rate was lower than the Comfort Inn that was at the end of a short terrible lane. We checked in here, and they had no elevator but only stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors. but we prefer to stay not on the ground floor so took the 2nd floor. The room was a good size, had a king bed, good bedding and a decent television. But there was no frig which we like. The bathroom was fairly small but had lots of towells, and small shampoo, conditioner, lotion and mouth wash. We went to the restaurant which is called Crown City Steak House. It is part seperate bar, and a large restaurant. They have a good menu and specials also. It is one of the only licensed restaurants in Cortland, and they have booths and tables,. The staff is friendly and the food is good.
If you want they have a breakfast buffet for $7.95 or if you pay for it when you check in it is $6.00. We did not try it as we wanted to get on the road. There was a coffee maker in the room with supplies, but it was acting up.
Also if you have children, or like to swim they have a decent inside heated pool.
It is located on a river, and is easy to get on and off 1-81

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to share your comment about our hotel

As a valued guest, your feedback is very important to us and I can assure you that we will use this information to do everything possible to create an enjoyable experience for each of our guests. We strive to make sure all guests are 100% certain they will return and most of the time it is our staff as the reason why. Our breakfast is the best in town, all the selection you get for the unbeatable price, and yes we do offer a discount on breakfast if you package it with your room. This package can be booked at the Ramada website or at the hotel directly. I know I’m partial because but I agree that the restaurant is amazing the steak our hand cut in the restaurant everyday and our homemade soups are fantastic.

I’m very glad to know that your time spent with us was so wonderful, please know I will pass your positive comments along to the entire staff. We know you have a choice in hotels and we are delighted that you chose ours. We hope to see you again!

Stayed here enroute to New York City. The place was pretty empty on a Thursday night. The front-desk staff were pleasant. Rooms were spacious, but dated and worn. Yet, they were fairly clean.

Beds were super comfortable!

Free Wifi and parking.

I'd stay here if you need a bed to sleep on at a decent rate.

Can not say enough about this hotel. We were coming from a hockey game in Wilkes -Barre on our way back to Oshawa, ON, Canada and this was our stopping point for the night. We got in around 12:30am and was greeted by Heidi. She was amazing. Was so friendly and kept saying if there was anything at all she could do for us or would make our stay better please, please let her know ( I had told her about my awful night before at the Mirotel in Calcium, NY). We were in building 2, few stairs to climb up to the 2nd floor but not bad. Our room was nice and VERY CLEAN. There was towels on our bed shaped into piggies, it was too cure. The towels in the bathroom were all done as shells. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Planning on doing the same trip next year and I will for sure stop here again!
