“Very Different type of Museum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We visited on a Friday - as soon as you gain admission make sure you check the time and try to get to any demostrations that might be starting - I think they are the most interesting part of this museum- viisted years ago and much is new.

The glass collections are HUGE - almost too much - but if you love history and glass this is the place to go. The gift shop is also HUGE - make sure you give yourself enough time to browse - we did not go to the cafe but that looked very nice as well.

Thank you for the review. We hope that the demonstration schedule and map were helpful in planning your visit through all the the museum has to offer. There are some other great tools to help you navigate through as well - including an audiotour and Top 10 Favorites brochures that highlight parts of the collection and technology on display. The GlassMarket is huge - 18,000 square feet to be exact! Thanks for being our guest again.

“Great Museum”

Lots to see, plenty of demonstrations. The museum is well planned and very interesting. We were here about 10 years ago. Always something to learn.

This place has a lot of talent. The make your own glass studio is an awesome experience for all ages. The glass blowing and the flamework are a must experience. The glass market leaves you amazed.

Thanks for the review! We are glad you were able to experience the Make Your Own Glass Workshop and hope you post an image of your creation. Both the workshops and demonstrations of glassblowing and flameworking are popular elements of the museum experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

“from a glass blower wannabe...”

Don't bypass the local artisans' work in the gift shop and be sure to look on the bottom of the object you are buying, to make sure it's not been made in China. That was a real shocker.

Thanks for your review! It sounds like you really appreciate the work you saw created in the live, narrated demonstartions. Be sure to check out the glass classes available all year long in the studio, including weekend workshops!

“Corning Glass”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

What a great museum. It included ancient glass up to and including modern day pieces. There were exhibits and hands on classes you could take. A gift shop at the end of thr tour included items made there and purchased from other companies.

Thank you for your review. We hope you had time to watch many of the demonstrations as well as make your own glass. Perhaps a handmade pumpkin? Thanks again!
