and avoid this place completely. Horrible food, even worse service, and very very dirty. Where are the health inspectors?

“This is now "Batter Up Restaurant." AVOID!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We were in New York for 10 days, and this is the worst restuarant experience we had. The waitstaff was terrible. We waited over 15 minutes before any waitstaff came to our table. Then we waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive ... after I asked a different waitstaff to check on our order. I had to ask twice for a water refill. The restaurant was VERY dirty. There were air conditioning parts laying on a table right next to the kitchen area. Disgusting. They put us in the "back room," which was dingy, dirty, absolutely no decorations, no windows, no tv, very cell-like ... yuck. The bathroom was also disgusting. Once our food finally arrived, we were starving. Our burgers were very average, and the ruben sandwich was the worst we have ever had. The prices here are definitely inflated, but we expected that in this little tourist town. What I did not expect was terrible service in a flithy restaurant. It was a terrible dining experience. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS RESTAURANT. There are many other choices.

“New name and owners.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

looks different and taste even worse. SO bad i did not even remember the new name.
Chili was runny and most likely out of a can, salad looked and tasted like it had been around for a few hours.

“A MUST STOP IN THE AREA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

We always stop here for breakfast, even if we are offered breakfast in our hotel. Great ambiance
and we never had a complaint about the food, good portions for the price. Our recent stop 10/2012, our waitress Barb went above and beyond our expectations...Great food, great feel, great location and most of all great service, whats not to love.

“Good food for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Arrived in Cooperstown around lunch (after tourist season) and it looked like a nice local place. Many choices available from light to full heavy meals at reasonable prices. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area which was helpful.
We all had something different and we thought each was good-the only reason for a 4 instead of 5 was it wasn't that busy but took too long for what we ordered.
