“Good food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We've been going to Cooperstown every year for the past 19 years and the first place we hit is Doubleday Cafe. One of the best breakfasts you'll get anywhere. Their huevos rancheros is one of the best we've had. Their sausage has maple syrup in it that gives it such a great flavor. They have daily specials including some very different omelets that we've tried and liked.
We've only been there a couple times for lunch but their sand-
wiches and burgers have been great.
Really good Bloody Mary's!
Well worth a stop.

“An OK breakfast if you like undercooked food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

My wife and I ate breakfast here before heading down the street to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The service was good, but the breakfast we had was only average. They didn't seem to have any signature breakfast items and the food consisted of the usual sausage/bacon, eggs, home fries and toast. The eggs we had were not cooked properly - over easy, and the potatoes had not been parboiled long enough. I often think that breakfast is the one meal that is hard to screw up, but this place came pretty close. Luckily it was only six bucks.

“Hot dog!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

During a lull in our visit to the HoF we walked down the street and found Doubleday Café. There I maintained my baseball jones by enjoying a big fat hot dog with sauerkraut and mustard along with French fries and a cold beer. It was great.

“Good place for lunch when visting Cooperstown”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

My wife and I had lunch here. Nice sports bary atmosphere. Excellent fries, good asian style cole slaw and the best Phili Cheese Steak I have ever had. Good service and prices low enough to easily swing for a family with kids.

This place was recomended by the guide at the town tourist center and it was a good pick. One block walk to the Hall of Fame.
