“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

This gem of a B&B was a beautiful landmark B&B. We stayed 2 nights and from the moment of our welcome to the final goodbye we felt like long time friends being welcomed home. The friendliness and warmth of the people we met, the time spent chatting in the breakfast room with Robin and Vita to the beautiful room we almost didn't want to leave.

We stayed in the St Somewhere room, which was outside the main house. The room was cozy and bright, the king size bed comfortable and the shower was the best we've had in any hotel, B&B or inn.

Robin provided recommendations on where to eat and neither night was a disappointment. I highly recommend the Landmark to anyone travelling to Cooperstown. It's walking distance to almost everywhere (although we travelled in winter during snow so didn't risk the black ice with walking). While some places were closed for the season, the Baseball Hall of Fame, some shops on the main street and the Cooperstown Distillery were all great places to see.

The owners and staff of the Landmark Inn went above and beyond to make our stay "Awesome". Their attention to little details were over the top. They are a short stroll to Main Street with some good restaurants and the Baseball Hall of Fame and a short drive to the Farmers Museum and Fenimor Art Museum. We highly recommend staying at the Landmark Inn at Cooperstown, N.Y.

Clean, friendly, cozy with nice big rooms and everything you could ask for. Be sure to check out Ommegang Brewery just outside Cooperstown if you are a beer buff. Wonderful town, can't wait to go back.

The Landmark Inn really did live up to all its amazing reviews! The inn itself and the rooms were spotless, beautiful and well-cared for, with everything in near-mint condition. We stayed in the Cooper Room near the back and it was quiet and cozy, even with a fair number of people there this weekend. Robin and her staff are SO warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about Cooperstown - between the amazing breakfast, the personal service (they remembered an allergy I had, after I mentioned it once) and the recommendations (select stores on Main Street, visiting the brewery), our trip was absolutely amazing and exceeded all my expectations. Definitely the best place I have ever stayed in hands down, and we left wishing we had just one more night!

My wife and I stayed one night on Halloween this year. The whole town takes this annual event very seriously and it was a pleasure to see so many people out and about with with their children enjoying the decorations which abound and the celebrations which were great fun. The Landmark joins in with this enthusiastically with some wonderful decorations and welcoming trick or treaters with baskets of sweets and other goodies. The Inn itself is beautifully restored and furnished and the innkeepers very welcoming, engaging in conversation throughout our visit, at arrival, during the Halloween celebrations and at breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is excellent, with the inn having its own chef (who creates something different every day) and served by delightful waitresses 'of a certain age', all of whom happily engage with the guests and exchange stories. No real choice of meal at breakfast, but with food this fresh and this good, that is certainly not an issue. Your breakfast menu is advised the night before so if you have a particular aversion I am sure the inn would accommodate accordingly. Warm apple cider with homemade cookies were a particular delight on a cold evening. We had the Wyeth suite, with the artist's work adorning the walls. The whole place has an old world charm with very modern amenities and set in a lovely location very near the centre of this wonderful little town. Some people might be put off by the prices, which are high - don't be!. For the whole experience it was worth it. We'd have no hesitation in going back and have already recommended it to our UK and US friends for when they visit upstate New York

Room Tip: I imagine each of the rooms is as nice as ours was. I quite liked the touch of having the bed at an...

Booked this place, looking for more charm than a hotel chain, and I definitely found it! First of all, the inn is ideally located on Chestnut Street. The "downtown" area is walkable, so I took a stroll to the lake before breakfast. What a gorgeous view!
Robin was wonderful, very welcoming. She had just made shortbread cookies, such an excellent way to greet guests. And they were delicious. The whole staff was wonderful.
Breakfast was beyond amazing. Whatever they serve you is sure to be a home run.

I stayed in the Hemmingway Room because of the great whirlpool tub. It was a great way to unwind after a long day hiking. The fluffy bathrobes were an unexpected luxury.

Overall, this inn was the best of both worlds. It had the amenities of a hotel, but the charm of an inn. Cannot recommend it more. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Cooperstown.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Hemmingway Room, which is small but perfect for one person or a couple. The room is...

We stayed 3 nights and found the Landmark Inn to be wonderful. We were in the Twain room on the second floor which has a very comfortable king bed and a large bathroom with double sinks and a shower. Everything was immaculately clean. Robin was the perfect hostess and inn keeper. The staff, Elizabeth and Debra, who served breakfast were very personable and attentive. The breakfasts were gourmet level. The whole experience was exemplary of what a Bed and Breakfast should be. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying their stay here!
