“Great Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

We visited the White House Inn after reviewing several of the B&B's in the area on TripAdvisor and other review sites. We could not have aksed for a better, more welcoming place to spend our night. Staff and innkeepers were very welcoming, and informative. We were in town for a night and they helped us with a dinner reservation, how to get around and any other detail we needed addressed. Our room was ready for us, it was cooled off (hot outside), and easy to access. When we go back to the area, this is the place we will stay, period.
Thanks Ed, Margie and Patti (and Anastasia), you were all great. thank you!

We just got got back from our first visit to Cooperstown, NY with friends. We stayed at the White House Inn where we were made to feel right at home. Our room was extremely cozy and quiet with a lot of small touches that made it perfect. The location is within a short walk to all the attractions in town. Parked the car there and did not use it again until we left. Pattie Dickinson and her staff were delightful and took good care of us during our stay. Breakfast was excellent! We are already trying to figure out when we can plan a trip back and stay in the carriage house! Thank you all for a nice visit.

Came into town without a reservation and were lucky to find this place. Stayed in the cottage which was clean, etc. Shower was very small......so slim people only should take this room! Breakfast was wonderful. Staff was great, very pleasant and accommodating.

Our family recently had a weekend trip to the Cooperstown area to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. We spent a couple of nights at the White House Inn, and were delighted by the accommodations, food, and especially the friendly staff. Ed Landers(owner) was hands on and personable. Innkeeper Pattie Dickinson made us feel like we were family. The entire staff was exceptional. The Inn is within walking distance of everything in Cooperstown. Great choice!!

My girlfriend and I were welcomed with open arms. Ed, Marjorie, Patti, Mary, and Alexis could not have been more cordial, and engaging. Ed prepared two great breakfast's (Eggs Benedict and Baked French Toast) were spectacular. Our room (brown room) was warm, roomy, and clean. We were also able sit out back by the pool. We were able to walk to all our desired attractions.

My girlfriend and I felt like we made friends for life. I look forward to going back when we travel in that area again.

Room Tip: The brown room is ideal.

My wife and I just got back from a trip to upstate New York which included a two-night stay at the White House Inn in Cooperstown. This place was a great find and we would definitely stay again if we are ever back in that neck of the woods. Our host, Ed, and his entire staff were very gracious and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Ours opened out to a lovely pool and backyard off the back porch that offered a great place to get wet, read a book, or just relax. Breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. Location, location, location! We were just two blocks from Main Street and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants and, of course, the Baseball Hall of Fame in downtown Cooperstown. It was nice to be able to leave the car in the on-site parking and take the easy stroll into town. Highly recommended if you're ever in Cooperstown!!

Room Tip: Not sure what they're called, but ask for one of the "Americana" rooms adjacent to the...

Really enjoyed our stay at the White House Inn. Lovely decor and the Inn keeper and staff so welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast in the a.m. We also enjoyed the back yard pool oasis.
