“Food was good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

Prices were just a little high but got our food fast and it was good. Would probably go back if we went to Cooperstown again.

“The Pit...Definitely Not "The Pits"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

My husband and I go to Cooperstown, NY every year for two days. The Pit is where we go for dinner one of those 2 nights. And for good reason...this place is consistently good, both in quality and flavor of the food, as well as the servers. They are always polite and expeditious.

“hits the spot.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Nothing special about the atmosphere, but the beer is cold, and the food is as expected. Nothing fancy about it all, but the basics are done well here.

“Good & plenty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

We had a big group, 22, we called and they got us in. It was a little hard to find, on Pioneer St. under the Tannin"something" inn. (Right behind the Info center on Main Street) Reasonably priced. Everyone loved their food. Glad we stopped in for dinner.

“Not bad, but there is a reason it's called the pit!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012 via mobile

Food was fine and it's a little off main street, so it isn't all that crowded.

We had the pulled pork and it was great.

The atmosphere was TERRIBLE. Quite the dump with filthy carpet and really dated decor.

Overall though, a good choice when Cooperstown is crowded.
