“Superb Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

This hotel blew me away. I did not expect much because of the negative reviews. The hotel is quaint and has a very distinct combination if cozy and elegant. The staff are friendly (security guards, bell service, reception, housekeeping, restaurant staff and even the pool attendant). They look good too. Professional and warm. The room is spacious. And they accommodated our request to put together the double beds because we have a baby. They even have free pastillas candy (milk and sugar candy) and a night cap of either hot choco, tea or coffee.
Room: good size for three adults and an infant. Bathroom is very nice with the rainfall shower and floating tub. They even folded up the towels nicely. They also have bathrobes. Hot water is really hot. They have a fridge, kettle and coffee/tea. The balcony overlooking the harbor is very nice.
Restaurant/food: we only tried the buffet breakfast and it is so good. Not so extensive as a five star hotel with many stations but complete and presented very nicely.
Price: we used our voucher via Expedia. Check the hotel website for pricing as well.

The pool is nice and clean. There is even a reflexology walking path beside the pool. The bay area is not for swimming but is good for walking and just strolling.
The hotel has attention to details. The only bad thing I can say is that I noticed the shoes of the lady food attendant. It is a high heeled wedge. Not very safe for someone carrying trays and walking around. It is also a health hazard. Everything else though is on point.

Very attentive service, wonderful restaurant staff, lovely pool day! Air conditioning worked wonderfully, rooms were simple but well appointed, and the food at the restaurant was consistently excellent - in fact, best dining experience in subic/olongapo overall (read: no bad after-effects). Will definitely stay here again!

I coordinated with the Resort for a company event and they did not disappoint. Their sales account officer and reception staff were very attentive to our needs: from ensuring room and bed type preference were accommodated (to the extent possible) to finding rooms for the drivers and nannies of guests in nearby establishments, and assisting car problems of one of the guests. To add, service staff offered to bring cocktails to our room when we were lazy to go down to the pool area, and attentive to our requests during breakfast when we opted to dine by the pool. The quality of service is one of the best I've experienced out of all my 14 years of travel in the Philippines and outside the country.

Room Tip: Look at the description at the website for preference. The room with two balconies is nice.

My husband & i stay in this hotel for a week, lobby is nice so im expecting more on the room coz we got aqua suite room, but it happens not, its not worth for what we had pay for each night of stay. The toilet is clog, we had to ask them to do it right, the aircon didn't work right we woke up in the middle of the night sweeting coz the aircon didn't work, blinds in the bathroom didn't work it seems everything didn't work right. All i can say this hotel is 2-star only a regular hotel.

Room Tip: You have to see the room itself first, picture at the website is different from what they offer.

(Giving this a 5-star rating based from the nearby resorts in the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority)
EXCELLENT service. Very hospitable staff. Lacks a few more amenities (like maybe a small fitness center). Nice food at the Sands Grill. Perfect view from the rooms (especially the "honeymoon rooms" with balcony). Needs further development for the beach shoreline.

Room, Facilities and Service
Thanks to Mr. Avecilla, Lighthouse's GM, we were able to experience the Aqua Veranda. It had two balconies, a bathroom with jacuzzi tub, a 42" inch 3D TV, an iPod dock and of course, an amazing view to wake up to in the morning! The window door to the balcony is pretty big so I suggest you leave the curtains open at night to wake up to a perfect view in the morning. The hotel has one elevator which is pretty small, which will fit around 3-4 people with baggage. Anyway, the hotel only has around 34 rooms, but I think this helps them provide utmost service to their guests, so expect an excellent service if you plan to stay here someday. You will even receive a complimentary iced tea upon arrival at your room, a dessert as PM snack, and you can request a free hot choco/coffee at night. Some staff were pretty shy, but anyway, they were all hospitable. :)

The swimming pool is somehow small but just enough for the number of guests the hotel can accomodate. There is also a bar outside Sands Grill, their main restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food
We had our buffet breakfast and dinner at Sands. The buffet breakfast was spectacular, wherein they also have a resident cook to whom you can request, for example, an omelette (the omelette was so delicious, I can't get over it). For dinner, we tried their Chicken Kebab, sinigang na hipon and fruit shakes; the Chicken Kebab is a must-try!

Beach area
Don't expect a Boracay-like kind of beach in this area, but I think it's still under development so once it's finished, the area of Lighthouse Marina will look even more spectacular.

Activities
We were able to try the sunset cruise where we road a speedboat and toured the Subic Bay area. While there is not much sanctuaries in the immediate vicinity of Lighthouse Marina, you can travel via speedboat or car to the nearby coves and islands.

Overall, it was an amazing experience, and the management of this hotel are real green advocates, so expect an earth-friendly hotel as well :)

In that corner of Subic, it's probably the best but most expensive. When the hotel is full, pool is full also, so its hard to swim. Parking may be a problem also. Food is good though and people are realy friendly. But if you want peace and quiet, Kamana Sanctuary is the best in Subic.

These is a small boutique hotel with 20 plus rooms only. So you should book in advance cause it's always full. I had to book few months back just to get a room. I knew it because I had been back to these hotel several times ever since it open. I like the place it's cozy, big room, clean, nice bathroom with bathtub, friendly staffs, and a king size bed.
