“Very convenient location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

we stayed at the hotel for around 2 days for the long weekend though the weather was not that good.. the reservation was done through agoda which was processed smoothly. the rooms were clean, well furnished; the staff was polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. the hotel has an ideally location; walking distance to malls, bars, restaurants and duty free shops. few comments about the hotel: -aircon was centralized; we had to phone front desk to adjust the temperature -we had to request for towels (were not provided upon arrival) -no working elevator overall, our stay at traveler's hotel was a good experience. very affordable...

Room Tip: Wildlife safari Ocean Adventure Treetop adventure Walking distance to malls, bars, restaurants, duty...

Rating: *****

The rooms were beautifully kitted out - comfy beds and pillows, a great wet room shower, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained, The hotel beach is beautiful and the pool area is also lovely with a great little pool/ beach bar area.

After the major refurbishment of the hotel and bungalows in the last 2-3 three years, the hotel has gone to another level in terms of sophistication and comfort. But importantly the staff remain as friendly as ever, not least the first person you will see when you arrive - the ever cheerful and efficient Tasso’s at reception.

The meals were reasonable though no great choice at both breakfast and evening meal. The cocktail bar was lovely and the pool bar offers good food at lunch time. However the serving counters are too small for the amount of guests.

There was a lack of entertainment/ atmosphere of an evening. After the evening meal people generally disappeared, heading to nearby bars in Lassi (10/15 minute walk) or further afield. This was a shame, because despite the hotel bar being open, the beach bar was closed evenings and a BBQ area wasn't used at all when we were there.

Their restrooms are a big letdown: messy and poorly maintained. Shower areas are uncovered so you can still get a tan even when you already decided you've had enough beach/swim.
Overall The hotel is good, the island is breathtaking and one would defiantly love to go back. I would recommend the hotel but it is not a 4 star hotel as advertised. It is ideal for a romantic break away for a young people. This hotel will not disappoint you however don’t set high expectations from the hotel.

Was there for a conference recently and it was a comfortable stay. Room I stayed in was clean. Did an Anthony from hotel impossible buy swapping my fingers on their picture frame, no dust. Was impressed.

Fridge is empty, so you will need to buy your drinks to store them. There is no lift to your rooms. Ask the staff for help in carrying your luggage.

There is no extensive cafe or restaurant if you wanna dine in. Just a small little cafe near the lobby. However, there is a burger joint right outside the hotel if you want to snack.

Hotel is about 10mins walking distance to SM Mall and Harbour Point for shopping and more choices of food.

A bit steep for the price of 4500pesos per night in my opinion. The guests who came the night before me complaint that there was no electricity and management did not do anything to compensate the discomfort from what I have heard.

Clean, comfortable and great value for the money. Although not at the waterfront, its still near enough to the main attractions;malls, restaurants, etc. I would stay there again. Pleasant, friendly staff. Beds are a little hard but we were so tired we slept good anyway.

this hotel is located at the center of subic bay. its is walking distance to restaurants and duty free shops. hotel is clean, hospitable staff except that this is not friendly to elderly if you are booked at the 3rd floor because this hotel has no elevator. they offer free breakfast to guess
price is moderate and recommended for families looking for an average hotel with complete amenities swimming pool, wifi and many others

Room Tip: their deluxe room has 2 full beds but try not to stay at the 3rd floor as there is no elevator

Because I was late in reserving hotel accomodations for my family's Holy Week vacation, I had a difficult time doing it, but Subic Bay Traveler's Hotel made it so convinient for me. I had reserved 2 Double Deluxe Rooms with buffet breakfast. They gave me discounted rates for both nights we stayed at the hotel plus they told me we can already use the swimming pool facilities even hours prior to check-in. We arrived at 9am and was able to swim right away. My son had a blast.

One comment though, the Front Desk officer on duty during the night shift wasn't very accomodating on both nights we requested for minor services. We aksed for a match and he said they are encouraging a "No Smoking Policy. He could have answered with a "none" isntead. We still were able to smoke freely by the pool area. Also, we had late dinner (10PM) and requested for plates and utensils and he said that their restaurant is already closed. We talked to someone else instead and got what we asked for.

The buffet breakfast had enough choices. My son wasn't really part of the package (breakfast for two) but he was allowed to have some ceareals in milk and some juice. I thought that was pretty nice of them.

Overall, it was a good experience. I wouldn't say awesome yet, maybe next time we visit Subic, we'll surely stay in this hotel again, and maybe hope for an awesome experience then.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms on the ground floor, near the pool area (9102 onwards). Make sure that you get a ro...

Its a good hotel in a nice location inside the Free Port Zone of the Subic. This hotel is not at the bay side but hardly matters as we took our car going around. This hotel is secured and in a peaceful location so the quality of sleep was good.

The hotel has a nice swimming pool for the kids and people to relax and eat :) As compare to the other hotels with pools this one is realtively inexpensive and well maintained.

For travelers who want to stay at the bay side, this hotel is not recommended, otherwise this is a nice one with the value for the money.

Room Tip: Try the rooms at the second floor facing the parking.
