plus
hotel staff were nice.
food is ok
bathroom amenities are good enough
i think the price is worth enough for an overnight stay
there is a veranda
it is a loft. though the stairs is narrow
near shops like puregold dutyfree and nike outlet store

minus
dark hallways. there is even a huge fridge (im not sure what it is) in the hallway.
dirty comfort room. the toilet flush tank don't even have a cover.
the A/C compressor is in the veranda. not a good idea to place such thing.
4 complimentary breakfast only for a family room.
bathroom light got busted.
tv is useless
no wifi in the room
room 123 does not have windows on its lower level
lots of outlets that are not working
why is the a/c remote labeled in korean????

Room Tip: better check-in on site. you'll get lower rates.

I do not recommend the RK Hotel in Subic Bay. When we checked in they had lost our reservation even though my Philippine friends said they were talking about it and how the staff said it had been canceled. They then proceeded to sell me higher priced room because the room I wanted hd been sold out. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years so this was not the best way to treat a guest. The desk staff was rude. Then I went to the room, the hallways are dark light bulbs burned out, in the room more light bulbs burned out, beds are hard. Then there is the bathroom, bugs and hair in the tub. They made me prepay for the room and would not give me a refund if I was to leave.

RK Hotel is poorly operated Hotel. I will never stay there again nor recommend other to do so as we'll. Unless you like dark, dirty and rude.

We got our room via Subic Hotels website. It was too costly as compared to rack rates at the time we checked-in (New Year's Eve) due to promotions. The Hotel is very attractive in their website. Well lighted. But when we stayed there, it was not lighted at night. The lobby is big but not well ventilated in the morning. WIFI service is strong only in the lobby and not in the rooms.

The pool is not noticeable since it is beside the entrance door.

The good thing about this hotel is it is near the Duty Free Shops and restaurants. Very accessible also for cab rental.

Hotel is just four years old but already shows signs of aging. We booked a junior suite and it had a double bed and a single bed. Our room was at the third floor so climbing up is a bit of a hassle since the hotel had no elevator. The room itself is clean and huge. Aircon is very cold but the tv reception is not so clear. The major advantage of being in the 3rd floor is the WIFI. Very fast and strong signal compared to the ground and second floor. Breakfast is very basic eggs, corned beef, hotdog kind of thing. The pool is small and is dirty at times. Had to ask them to clean it before using. The best asset of this hotel is the customer service. They are very attentive.

The hotel is located in front of Puregold Duty Free and is at the major intersection upon entering Subic. Also close to Royal Duty Free, Starbucks, Jollibee, KFC, Shakeys, 7-11, etc. It does not get crowded like the Baywalk hotels and parking areas are more than enough.

Room Tip: Choose rooms that face the pool as it tend to get noisier on the highway side.

Majority of hotels in Subic were fully booked when we visited Ocean Adventure so we decided to use this hotel. Unfortunately, the room was very dusty, it seemed like the beddings had been there for weeks!

We were so glad to leave the very next day!

Hotel is poorly manage by the korean owners. Its dirty and a little smelly. No aircon on the lobby nor at the hotel's floor hallway. So its was quite uncomfortable and hot to stay at these places of the hotel. There is no wifi connection in the rooms. Wifi connection is only at the hotel lobby. Hotel has no elevator which is very uncomfortable if you have big or lots of baggage. Aircon in the room i stayed at is good and working properly. The room i got had a busted bathroom light. There were supposed to be 2 ceiling lights, only 1 was working. Room was not very clean. Room carpet not very clean. Bed not exactly at par either. The room's electrical outlets does not work properly well. They're loose and needs replacement. You therefore have to make sure your gadgets are plugged in correctly to make sure they're charging well.

I believe one must bargain for a very low price if you really want to stay at this hotel. I strongly believe the hotel rate that should be charged for this type of hotel should range from usd50.00 to usd60.00/night only. And this rate should be for a room with 2 king size bed. If not, rate should even be lower.

The only thing this hotel is good at, compared to other subic hotels, is its location.

Furthermore, since there were no wifi connection in the rooms, i was working late at the hotel lobby area one night when i saw a rat (about 4 inches long) run along the side of the lobby wall coming out from the coffee shop. After a few minutes another rat of the same length came running out of the coffee shop again. Due to this, one must think then if this hotel is really clean or not.

Room Tip: Choose this hotel if there are no other hotels in subic available for you to stay. Other hotels good...
