“Its almost there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Stayed here for a family getaway. This placed has changed hands many times over the years. The most recent takeover is Scott enterprises who owns a bunch of other hotels and Splash lagoon.(reminders are everywhere) The renovations say 'complete' but they are not. We choose a parlour suite,. fresh, clean and very nicely renovated. You are able to step outside or enter/exit the room via a back door if you are on the ground floor which we were, but it was rocks and debri. A few rusty nails and no chairs to sit on. Kids going in and out tracked in stones. The pool area is in fact the best around. I do not know of a better one. Indoor play ground, water slide, sauna, hottub, exercise room tanning and spa + too much to mention make the peek a great place to go. The rooms are on the small side for today's standards but consider it was built in a different era. No complaints about the room, furnishings or beds. Marble tables tops- Front desk staff excellent, quick and pleasant. The pool staff were a bit rude. There was allot of them for the amount of people and seemed to prefer chitchatting with each other than watching the swimmers. There was a large crowd of young golfers in the pool when we were there, and even though the sky's were rumbling with thunder no one said to get out. After the crowd left there was only us in the indoor pool they told us to get out due to thunderstorms. We had an hour to swim yet. I felt they just wanted to go home early and close up. Didn't really feel I trusted them lifeguarding my children. A bottle of powerade was $2.75 in the machine. Most of the arcade games were broken. Crappy pool table with warped sticks. Floors around the pool very slippery and not squeezed off at all- even with the excess of staff. There was no bellhop- asked for an extra blanket and the security guard brought it, and got the feeling it was WAY out of his way to do such trivial things. Overall a great getaway. I will be going again. Coupon in room for $5 off the Sunday brunch. Best in area, nothing like it anywhere. WOW is all I can say about the brunch.

Went to PNP for the May 24 weekend, family getaway. Room was nice, recently renovated. Pool was also nice. Played golf on the Upper Course, was pretty good, not great, but worth playing. We did not eat there, so can't comment on food. Resort has a bit of a tired look about it, but new ownership seems to be making upgrades. Segway tour was fun as well!

Room Tip: Apparently all of the rooms in the lodge have been renovated, pretty good value compared to condos.

We stayed at Peek and Peak for a wedding and it was wonderful. We had a queen parlor suite which was a two room suite , great for a long weekend. The staff was friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our breakfast in a bright sunny room. Very comfortable beds and the extra towels and pillows I requested were there when we arrived. Nice golf course and The Lodge was a beautiful venue for the wedding

This was one of my favorite places, they were bought out a couple of years ago by Scotts a chain of restaurants and although things have been updated other things like service have gone down hill.... There is lots to do here in any season... Ski, snowboard, swim, golf, mini golf, walk bike ride a great family place or a romantic get away. We stayed in the Camelot, 1 bedroom with loft, it was great for a family weekend. The unit was well equipped, free wifi, clean and cozy. There is a large play area for kids, huge indoor pool, hot tub that goes indoor/outdoors and an outdoor pool with a water slide. The golf course is fantastic and it was beautiful this time of year with all the trees budding and flowering. (A few years ago we saw deers also walking up the fairway) The service in the golf tavern was really poor, it took for ever to get served. My daughter and I had the taco salad and got really bad cramps about .5hrs after eating them. The dinning room, breakfast was served in the bar area dark and dingy, ok at night after a couple of beers maybe, but not where I'd like to take my children. Nice meal although there was a limited amount of choice. Dinner however still only a limited choice was less than desirable, there were 3 specials that night a surf and turf, scallops and 8 oz steak... (only 2 scallops and I don't know where these steaks come from but it must be a very old cow... our group ordered 2 of these and nether of them could eat the steak. The other special was a pasta dish that was disgusting.... nobody could eat it. The wine list is very poor. The band that was playing heavy metal just didn't seem to fit the dinning room. Some of the staff is very friendly and some of them are just plain rude. The Sunday breakfast buffet is fantastic there is so many things to pick from...yummy. This is not a resort for you if you can't do lots of stairs. It smells so nice and fresh with the lovely big pine trees, I loved sleeping with the windows open. I hope the new management take a hard look at what they are doing to this lovely resort.... we have spent the memorial day weekend there for the past 5yr we were amazed at how it gone down very sad.

Room Tip: Ask for the upgraded rooms. The balcony rooms are on 2 floors so there is a stairway up to the bed a...

Great overnight getaway with my husband. Would come back with a whole family, as lots of indoor activities to enjoy, including pool, hot tub and indoor playground. Good skiing experience and overall impression. A bit outdated property, but upgraded rooms, and everything is quite clean and pleasant.

Hey guys! I just got back from this place yesterday! It was awesome! But like every every hotel, it has its ups and downs. Lets start with the Pros, shall we?

- Great location!
- Awesome slopes!
- Very helpful employees
- The pool & jacuzzi is to die for.
- Cheap! (3 nights, 2 days; 6 people; 3 ski lifts, 4 meals, combined we spent a little more than 1,000)
- Rentels are nice if you need them!
- Overall great place for family!
- Clean rooms
& More!!

Now for the Cons!

- Rooms aren't huge
- Acrade is lousy
- If you don't know how to ski/snowboard, good luck trying to find an instructor; I saw a max of 2 the whole time there.

Well that's all I can think of! I hope this review helped!

We stayed here for the first time and really enjoyed it. As usual, I like to itemize the positives and negatives of our stay :) Hope this helps!

Positives-
- Great location, you can walk to the ski resort from the hotel
- Remodeled rooms
- Nice pool and children's playground area
- S'mores by the campfire at night
- Balcony rooms were spacious and unique
- Nightlife after the ski slopes close (entertainment in the bar)

Negatives-
- We encountered a few staff members who were fairly rude and that was disappointing. I wouldn't prevent us from staying here again but it appears as though they need some customer service training.
- Soooo many steps! With no elevator, the steps can become quite cumbersome while carrying ski gear, or travelling with small children
- Besides the pricey breakfast buffet or room service, there is no quick service option for breakfast (such as a coffee shop)

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back again!
