We stayed in Clayton knowing there are not many good hotels, etc. there. Found this place online, and it looked cute & bonus was we could bring dog. As soon as you walk in the strong musty odor is overwhelming, esp. in 90 degree weather. Walking up the steps from outside bushes are overgrown, spider webs plastered on windows on sun room. Smallest bathroom ever, very musty with spiders hanging from ceiling. Her personal belongings and pictures are everywhere. My son was afraid to sleep in downstairs bedroom due to large artwork of distorted faces. My young daughter asked me questions about breastfeeding as one large picture in their bedroom depicts a mother breastfeeding, not something I expected to have to discuss on vacation. Most upsetting thing was that she requested we not leave the air conditioners on (4 small ones in house) while we were gone. Imagine a hotel not allowing you to do that. She actually came while we were out and turned them off, except for one where our dog was. My kids kept asking if we could leave to go to a hotel. If we hadn't paid yet and didn't have our dog, we would have. There were many things that bothered us but we didn't have a choice but to stay. We felt like we wasted a lot of money and would not recommend this place to stay.
