This eatery is a real down "home town" bar and restaurant. We usually go for their fish fry dinners on Fridays which is probably one of the best fish fries in Buffalo, and that's saying a lot. Every entree including the fish fry comes with a soup and salad bar, which includes fresh homemade soup, salad and fresh fixings, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and fresh bread/butter. Your fish fry comes with a nice portion of beer battered, breaded, or broiled/baked haddock, french fries, and german potato salad, along with the aforementioned salad and soup bar. You cannot beat the quality, quantity or price...all for $7.95! You are usually greeted by the owner and waited on by servers who usually remember their repeat customers. Drinks are also very reasonable. They also serve a full menu including all you can eat entrees different nights of the week. The Edge of Town is located exactly where it states in its name: the edge of Buffalo and Cheektowaga. A few years ago when we first decided to go there we were a bit hesitant about the drive there and the neighborhood. Boy, we were wrong! It's a great local place in a great town. Don't expect white linens and a fancy dining experience...this restaurant is just what it advertises...good food, friendly/family atmosphere, great prices. We are repeat customers and enjoy going back often.
