My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. There are a couple cats and they stay out of the rooms. If you are extremely allergic to cats, probably not the best place for you. If not, they are totally well behaved. It's a nice old building and we found it very comfy. I hope we get to go again.

This is an old house, not a sterile modern hotel. Yes, it has cats, yes it is a little cluttered, yes a 200 year old house is a little more worn than a luxury hotel. It has not had the services of a professional decorator. We liked the experience and would come again. The bed linens were clean, the bathroom was clean, the food was freshly prepared, delicious, and had no cat hairs. There is a refrigerator with free soft drinks and a jar with free chocolate bars. Our bedroom was large and the bed was queen-sized. The cats are not allowed upstairs. The owner was friendly. This house is well set back from the street and has trees all around it. It is a little hard to find because it has no sign and no number on the house. Set your GPS to the address and turn west just south of the fire hydrant. It is across the street from the fire damaged theater, if you come before they repair it.

Room Tip: The Quilt Room has a nice big bed.

I hate to do this because the innkeeper was very nice. He has a potential gem on his hands, but it definitely lacked the feeling of a nice cozy B&B mostly due to the unkempt look of the place. It seems everything is done on a budget and not with care. The bed was a full, which is pretty small for two people and the linens weren't very nice. The bed just needed a nice comforter and it would have been better. The towels needed a bleaching. The shower was def not clean and even the glass by the sink was used! There were odd items in the cabinet (like someone lived there: used deodorant, shave gel, etc).

The worst was the cat hair in the food :( You could see it and I had to spit some out of my mouth.

I liked the location, the house was cute. Advice: buy new towels, nice comforters, give the place a good, real cleaning and get rid of the cats.

Otherwise - very nice gentleman and nice location.
