“Great stop-over for shopping”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Perfect location if you are planning a shopping trip. We found the free shuttle to and from Woodbury Commons a very convenient service. It even took us to Walmart to get some provisions. The room was very spacious, clean and well equipped with big screen TV, microwave and nice plush beds. Breakfast was basic but reasonable with both sweet and savory selections to start the day on a good note. The free freshly baked cookies and hot drinks were a nice touch after coming back from a long day of shopping. Staff were friendly and keen to help. The room rate is pricier than the average but the convenience of being 5 minutes away from the outlets offsets the extra cost.

My husband and I stayed here for a night after shopping at Woodbury Common outlets. The hotel is very basic, it is clean and well kept which was what we wanted. The location was perfect it was a 2 minute drive from the outlet. However, I found it to be a little pricey for what it offered. The breakfast is similar to any other 3 star hotel your basic types of cereals, yogurts, waffles, eggs, and juices.

This is a comfortable basic hotel that is as close to Woodbury Commons as you can get, Rooms are clean and comfortable with nice duvet covers. There is a small pool and exercise room. Staff is quite helpful. Would stay here again

Stayed here when dropping our son off at WestPoint. I will stay again. The general manager and her employees very helpfull and welcoming. Grounds were well maintained, public areas and our room was very clean. Pillows and bed reminded me of home. The bath towels were thick too. They provide a full breakfast. Keep up the good work. T.W.

Just up the road from Woodbury Common outlets, but somewhat hard to find tucked away at the end of an access road behind a regular strip shopping center, Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury is a tough one to rate. Perhaps because this hotel had a price point a little higher than many Hampton Inns, I was expected something to stand out, something flashy, more of a Wow factor in the rooms. There was no wow, but there also were no issues. The solid accommodations I have come to expect from Hampton Inn are in play here. Towels were plentiful, the room seemed clean, the beds were comfortable, a flat-screen tv (could have been a bit larger) was present, along with the nice Hampton clock radio with MP3 connector. The wireless internet connection was not only free, it was easy to access without having to type in all kinds of passwords and visit all kinds of preliminary pages. I went to sleep telling myself that the next morning's breakfast would help decide whether this was three stars or four stars in my book. The latter was clearly the case. Faced with a sold out night before and overflowing crowd in the breakfast area, the staff handled this situation beautifully. Food was replaced as soon as it was running low, the juices were refilled quickly upon needing attention, and an adjacent meeting room was open to accommodate guests when it was clear seating was full in the main breakfast area. Even with the crowds, the staff was helping guests make their own waffles and otherwise assisting them. The other hotel staff members were also friendly. So, helped by commendable service, this Hampton Inn earns four stars in my book.

We went to this hotel after spending 3 nights in NYC. We wanted a place close to the Woodbury outlets, and the Hampton Inn Harriman certainly is close! It's a 2-minute car ride from there. I would put 3.5 stars because of the friendly service and the very good (complimentary) breakfast. However, the room was quite ordinary. Unfortunately, we found it very dusty and not well vacuumed. The bed was fine, and our son slept well in the sofa-bed. The bathroom was quite big, and well-appointed. There was no bathtub in the bathroom, only a (big) shower. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room, as well as a safe.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not located directly on the street if you want it to be more quiet.

Hopped in the car for a family road trip to visit the Stormking Art Center. After a long day of hiking, this hotel was a pleasant place to wind down, particularly traveling with 2 kids. There is a nice indoor pool that was empty for most of the time. The kids had a blast. The room was clean and the 2 queen beds were comfortable. The shower was strong and felt great after the long day. The kids were disappointed with the tv channel selection (only free kids channel was cartoon network), but it was not a big deal. The staff were very nice and helpful. One even helped me fix my broken sandal strap! The complementary breakfast was well stocked and crowded. I thought the price for the room was a little high at $170, but all in all, a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the mountains!
