“Finally!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

After a long wait, Jellyfish finally opened and I was able to get a reservation. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the service was impeccable. Our waitress Jennifer was helpful and a delight to have as our server. We had a small soup tasting complements of the chef, the hot parmesan bread is lethal, also complements. I had the octopus appetizer, my wife the shrimp cakes. Delicious. for entrees my wife had lobster tails, very small but with two of them its enough, and I had the swordfish which was very nice.

they have live music upstaris and downstairs, the lemon basil martni is magnifico.

Cannot wait to return

“Never Again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

I hate having to give poor reviews and hardly ever do but this place was so disappointing. After waiting months for it to open I was really hoping for a wonderful meal in a place with an interesting atmosphere. The atmosphere was interesting but that is really the only good thing I can say about the restaurant. There are way too many tables crammed into a small space making it hard to have a private conversation let alone a romantic dinner. The bread was the best part of the meal and that's not a good thing. The complimentary soup with creme fresh that was served tasted like oily chicken broth. My husband's monk fish was terrible and he never complains. Not to mention that he got sick from it later on that night. My chicken was mediocre at best nothing special for the price. We really are not picky people but we expected better food for the price we paid and will never be coming back.

“Not impressed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is a new restaurant next door to a catering hall by the same owner. The food was nothing special, decent bar and atmosphere but the service ruined it for any thought of returning. We heard that before going, but someone we were with wanted to go anyway. The waiters and busboys were non-stop all over us asking questions, trying to take food away that wasn`t finished over and over. It was intrusive! They were all very young and had no clue how to serve people. The owner was there so I guess he wants it that way. Never again!

“Took a While To Open and Thank God It Did!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

We love this place. Great drinks, great food (their bread is THE BEST BREAD IN THE WORLD). They also have a very cool, different atmosphere. Their glass work decor is fantastic, their service is interesting (some young kids, some older, funny waitresses, but great people). It's a very good place. A must go in Centerport, and it's also scenic (right by the pond there). There's valet parking in the back.
