“Cozy hearty dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

We saw this restaurant last summer while camping near by and really hoped to make it back to try it. It did not disappoint from the bread and salad to main courses and service.

I ordered the lobster newberg and admit to being a seafood snob. This dish was outstanding- and packed at least 3 lobster tails in a creamy sauce with pastry top. Rare time I couldn't finish a lobster dish!

My husband had shepard's pie- meat was so tender and flavorful as were the sides.

Atmosphere was cozy and old world. Our server was very busy but she was still delightful and checked in with us. Highly recommend especially for a winter evening.

“Our favorite restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We have enjoyed the excellent food, wonderful service, and european flair of the Brae Lock Inn for many years. The food is consistently good, particularly the steaks and seafood. Several times a year my husband and I spend the night , sipping complimentary scotch and shooting pool, then slip off to our romantic room . It's our favorite "staycation"!

“Very Enjoyable Evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

With snow on the ground and light flurries in the air, our arrival to the Brae Loch Inn presented as an almost magical picture - warm, romantic and welcoming you to step inside. Our party consisted of three couples and we arrived early so that we could sit at the bar for a drink, cozy and fun. On to dinner and a very competent waitress with perfect timing. The food choices were plenty and we were all happy with our appetizers, meals and the wine. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and appreciated. All in all, it was a very nice experience.

“overpriced ripoff with poor service and bad food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

The parking lot was slippery
The service was slow
The dining room was not clearly marked (hidden downstairs)
Food was mostly bad and it was cold.
It was over priced

Will never go again.
