“1st time in Cazenovia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Recently, we stayed (2) nights @ the Lincklaen House. We attended a wedding, there.
EVERYTHING WAS LOVELY except there were a few things that tainted our stay.

We were assigned to room # 205. THE MATTRESS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. It was terribly uncomfortable. Also, we found long dark hairs on the bed linens & they weren't mine!!!

This was the second stop on a cross-country trip in our British sports car. We have eaten here many times and we always enjoyed the ambience. The stay was great. It reminded us of hotels in England. The management and staff were friendly and helpful. We left some cloths in the room and they called and shipped them to us. I recommend it for a relaxing get-a-way.

Our family enjoyed several nights and all our meals in the historic experience of the Lincklaen Hotel and restaurants, in a lovely suite, which included a living room with kitchen, four poster large comfortable bed and great large bathroom with large jacuzzi tub and walk in shower and two televisions, for a very good value. Enjoyed dressing for breakfast, descending the stairs to one of the large formal dining rooms for fruit and fresh waffles, reading a paper and chatting with other hotel guests. Really enjoyed the quiet simpleness, of no high tech noise or visuals coming at you in the first floor lobby. dining rooms and garden patio, and walking to the park by the lake, town shops and architecturally intriguing streets of turn of the century homes.

Room Tip: If you open the windows in rooms facing Route 20/Albany Street, it is very noisy with heavy commerci...

The Lincklaen House is in the center of Caz on Albany St. (Rt 20) and within walking distance of virtually everything. This historic hotel is the ideal getaway for a few nights stay. Our junior suite was well furnished, but lacked the customary amenities of a coffemaker and fridge. Continental breakfast is included, but if your stay includes a Sat. night the Sunday brunch is well worth the extra price at only $12.95 per person. The rooms are all walk ups so if you require assistance getting up stairs, this might not be the place for you. A wedding was going on the night we arrived so we had to sneak out a side door to avoid being in the video since the reception used the lobby as well as the dining rooms. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay- and as a bonus there were vintage Franklin autos at the local college for an annual weekend event! Well priced hotel for the area

Have stayed here before and our family always enjoys it. This is a good basic hotel with not frills but you don't mind because of the price charged. Lobby is quaint and kept. Staff is smiling and helpful. It was warm but our room was cooled nicely by the window unit. Room was clean. Bed super comfy. Our room was on the side street as requested. Front rooms can be noisy due to large trucks coming through town. The continental breakfast is just that....the basics (cereal, juice, pastry and fruit,) however we looooove the waffles and my kids enjoy making them.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side street are quieter. If you need extra pillows or a cot be sure to request early i...

We held our wedding and reception there and it could not have been more perfect. The helpfulness of the staff really made it... no request was too much and they really bent over backwards to help in every way. The rooms were beautiful, the honeymoon suite had a huge whirlpool tub and super comfy bed. And the food. Yum. Everyone raved. Popovers for all!

We stayed in a junior suite. Very comfortable, nice room, excellent bed. No amenities to speak of, the soap dispenser is low grade style. The room itself was quiet but we were awakened by snow plows all night long so in winter probably best to stay away from the front of the hotel. The continental breakfast was ok, nohting great. All that being said, it was still a pleasent stay. We enjoyed having the Seven Steps Pub in the basement. Very cozy.
