After receiving an unusually low rate offer (via email) for a standard room, we stayed at the Inn for 4 nights during the Christmas holiday. Lovely facility, attractive, immaculate public rooms. Our king room was comfortable, clean and well lit.
Bed was excellent. Lots of towels, somewhat sparse vanity space in bathroom. No micro or fridge. Coffeemaker was provided as well as morning coffee service in the lobby. Restaurant was large and well appointed though we only had a light breakfast. I'd definitely stay again if the offer was repeated.

Came into Canandaigua for a long weekend and to attend a wedding. We spent four nights at the Inn and were instructed not to eat there by the locals because the food and service was not consistent. The view of the lake from our room was very beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is barely big enough for one person, not one electrical outlet could be found in the bathroom. Hair drying and electric rollers had to be done by the coffee maker, after unplugging it for an available outlet. Television did not have the channels that were on the list in the room, many of them were just "snow". We had inconsistent service at the front desk, some people were very helpful and others quite aloof. Conversations from the other rooms could be heard very easily so we ran our fan on high to help drown it out so we could sleep. Very pricey rooms for what you get!

My husband and I needed time away and decided to stay at the Inn. The lobby was beautiful and the staff was very helpful! Room was clean and comfortable. We did visit the lounge which was comfortable and relaxing. A USA TODAY was waiting for us in the morning and the room offered a single cup type coffee maker. We did use the pool/spa which offered many clean towels for us to use. We toured the area and enjoyed our stay very much! Quite a nice escape!

We didn't get as far as actually staying at this establishment. There's no doubt the location is delightful, but that was about it for us. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and enquired about a room for two nights. The young receptionist was considerably less than interested and exhibited all the charm of a cornered rat when asked to show us a couple of rooms, looking upwards and sighing audibly. The rooms she showed us were awful - low ceilings, drab decor, an unappealing bathroom - and wouldn't have been out of place at one of the more seedy motels. We couldn't get out of the place fast enough; more so when she said the room rate would be increased for the Friday night. The location lends itself to a much more upmarket operation; it's simply wasted at the moment.
