We spent one night at the Bristol Harbor Resort and enjoyed it very much. We arrived after a rainy afternoon of wine tasting to find these lovely rooms, warm and welcoming with fireplaces and heated floors in the bathroom. Really nice.

We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were delicious. Even with the fog rolling in that evening, the view was beautiful. Overall, a very nice place for a get away. Our only complaint was that even though the ambience was lovely in the rooms, the lights were dim--too dim a little reading in the evening. Really a minor complaint!

Stayed only one night at this resort. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great value for the price. Lodging included a great dinner, full breakfast and a bottle of wine. View from our room was awesome. We had a fireplace, AC, great interior design and even a heated bathroom floor. Would recommend this resort to anyone. You won't be disappointed. Joanie 510@aol.com

We went to the Bristol Harbour Resort for 2 days for our anniversary. The pool was dirty both days we were there. The resort is not right on the lake, it overlooks the lake. The beach/marina was accessed by driving down the road and taking an elevator. It was nice to walk around there when nobody was there in the evening. We had thought the beach was right at the resort and did not realize it was down the street. The view of the lake was okay. We did enjoy an amazing thunder & lightening storm one night that we watched from our balcony.

We had a king sized bed in our room. They gave us three pillows, and all of them were horrible. Both days my husband and I woke up with stiff necks. The shower drain was clogged with soap from another guest and several inches of water collected when you would shower. The housekeepers were really nice though. Very cheerful and polite.

We ate breakfast and dinner at the resort one day. The food was horrible. The ribs were very grisly, there was not much meat on the bone. For breakfast, my meal included home fries. They were brought out after the rest of our meal for some reason and they were horrible. My husband also had home fries, but his came out right away. His were completely cooked and looked appetizing. Mine were not cooked all the way and actually tasted a little raw and were somewhat cold inside. We did have dessert there and the peanut butter pie is amazing!

I wish we'd chose a different location, as there is not much to do in Canandaigua. We were under the impression that the resort was close to places where we could walk to each day. Canandaigua and Naples are like 15 minutes away.

If we decide to go back to the Finger Lakes area, we'll be going to the Seneca or Keuka Lake area. I was not impressed and would not go back.

“Quaint and Quiet”

My wife and I went for the golf. Nice course, back nine much more scenic than the front, course in fine shape, but why do people not know how to repair ball marks? In early June, during the week, before the peak holiday season, the course was not very busy. GPS in the carts was helpful, but did not work during the last of our three rounds. The rooms are large and comfortable. The furnishings are very "rustic" but work well with the overall decor. I would suggest getting a room on the third floor, if you don't mind the walk up the stairs. We had a heavy stepper staying in the room above us and the noise woke us. The food in the clubhouse was better than expected, with good variety and very attentive staff. If you want to visit wineries in the area you will have to go for a long drive through the country, as most of the wineries are located around Seneca, Keuka and Cayuga lakes. The pool and hottub were not open because they had not opened them yet for the season. This was annoying because it was quite warm and we would have enjoyed a swim after golf. There are finer places to stay in the area, but Bristol Harbour offers a nice relaxing place to stay to enjoy some golf, and visit the area.

My wife and I just returned from our 2nd weekend getaway at Bristol Harbour in as many years. The hotel is great. Very quiet, clean, huge rooms, cool furnishings, in room fireplace, comfy beds, heated bathroom floors...what more can you ask for? The hotel restaurant is decent. The food could be better, I suppose, but the service is good and the prices are fair. Would definitely stay here again.
