My daughter myself and my three grandchildren (ages 4 years 3years and 3 months) went to Splish Splash July 25, 2007. I wish I had read the reviews before we went. It was $86.00 admission and $10.00 to park. We had packed PB and J sandwiches and juice boxes for the kids, fruit and water for us and small packages of goldfish. There were signs that you were not allowed to take food into the park for "your safety." Safety???Please explain that to me. There was no glass or anything that could break so what about this was unsafe? They had enough nerve to inspect our bags and not let us bring this evil stuff into the park.
It was over crowded.
After two minutes in the water the kids had to go to the bathroom and they were hungry. We had to pack everything up and trudge up and down hills to wait on long lines to go to the bathroom and wait on another very long line to get something to eat. They don't even make it easy to get the food to the table ,trays would be nice instead of balancing the stuff like a circus clown. Food was expensive and it was crummy.
Music was way too loud through out the park.
We were only interested in the Kiddie area. One of the attractions (the Frog) was non-existant.
We also had trouble with unsupervised rowdy kids and when reported to staff they were ineffective.
So, we paid over $100.00 to wait in line, eat crummy food, listen to loud music and be abused by rowdy kids. I will never go back and it is too bad because we live close by and the kids love the water. Guess I'll stick to the beach.
