Came in late at night and was honestly scared without lighting. Walked in the place was not even healthy. Beds were uncomfortable, carpet was ripped, moldy walls, and all for $200 a night. Although we did not complain as the place was built by the father of the owner, who recently passed away.

I just got back from staying at Twin Bay Village and had a wonderful time. I was very nervous about staying there because of the reviews, but as it turned out I had nothing to worry about. My summary: The rooms were clean, daily housekeeping, the owners were nice and helpfull in describing the area and its attractions, the bathroom was small, beds were a little uncomfortable and the lakeside cottages could use more lighting. All in all, descent place and I would stay there again. The perks of this place make it worth it : Great location and great views, 10 minute walk to town, has a pool and is also on lake George, next door to Chic's Marina, free use of the canoes and rowboats, free grill to cook on. Despite the other reviews, the two sisters that own the resort were very nice and accomodating.

Small smelly rooms, minimal clean, amenities do not exist, no clock, radio or enough lights. TV is from the 60's, no remote either. For the price, $150+ a night for a motel room is is a rip off. Bed's uncomfortable too. There are many, many nicer places to stay. Super disappointment. YUK!

After reading the previous reviews on Twin Bay Village we were very hesitant to book it, however, we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in Cabin 16- which is 2 over from the lake overlooking our boat. The cabins are small for 4, but we managed. It was convenient having a brand new refrigerator & stove top. The only issue we had is the bathroom is rather small- very small shower stall and I would recommend bringing your own bath towels as the ones provided were very small.
When I asked the two owners about the past reviews- they emphatically stated that they were not even open during the "bed bug" review and most likely it was a mix-up with the 2 other Lake George properties called "Twin." They do offer pet friendly rooms- but those rooms are assigned to families with pets only. I was concerned because I am highly allergic to pets and I was assured that my room was pet-free and it definitley was as I had no issues!!
The location is very convenient for staying with a boat- you are about the 1/2 way mark- convenient to Lk George village heading south and the narrows heading north. Also the 1.5 mile drive into Bolton Landing for shopping & restaurants was very convenient. Twin Bay was also priced very reasonably compared to other Bolton Landing properties nearby. All in all- we were very happy with our stay and we would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Ask for cabin closest to the lake. Also ask for non-pet room- especially if you are allergic!

We have a serious black spider problem and the owners told us to stop complaining about everything after one of us got a spider bite that was in the bed. We also had rude neighbors talking loud infront of our rooms throughout the night. Rooms are very poorly cleaned and we have a very small bathroom. Only have a nice view and that's about it. Otherwise, very poor service and rude owners.

We were covered in bites after our stay. Room was filthy, so we should have known better and just left.
There are lots and lots of other places to stay in Lake George. Do yourself a favor and pick one.

This is our 2nd trip to Lake George and our 2nd stay at Twin Bay Village. We travel with another family also with teenagers. What a great motel....the rooms are clean,, the pool is kept immaculate. They have bbq grills free of charge that you keep for your stay. The owners are wonderful women. They bend over backwards for whatever it is you need, wheather it be finding a marina to rent you a pontoon boat to washing sheets and towels by themselves because your son is allergic to starch and fabric softeners...They have canoes and rowboats that are also free of charge for guest use. They are located in Bolton Landing which is about 1/2 mile from the small but beautiful village. So much fun!! I highly suggest if you are planning a trip to Lake George, give Twin Bay Village a call...you won't be disappointed!!!
