“Loved my stay”

I've stayed with Doubletree in East Syracuse and now here, and find the service much better in Binghamton. Plus, they advertise in the Thruway magazine so you can get a coupon for a much lower room price (for an equally great room). Breakfast was great--except for the coffee. Don't know why so many American hotels have dishwater strength coffee. But ask the waitress for expresso and you can mix the two.

Room Tip: Stay away from lower floors and front door. Motorcycles park there.

Not impressed with the desk staff. Check-in person was preoccupied and not friendly. Person at check-out was not thrilled to check on availability of rooms in another area of the state. It was a chore he rather not have! It's clean and, with the exception of the daytime desk staff, very friendly place.

We stayed last weekend for a wedding in the hotel and everything about our time there was fantastic. At arrival, the front desk staff was able to secure our room at a lower (group) rate which the Hilton reservationist had not previously been able to do. We had originally booked a suite that sleeps 6, a rarity in the hotel industry. When we became just two, the staff switched us to a gorgeous Deluxe King. The room was enormous and had clearly been recently updated. There was a spacious vanity outside the main bath, especially important when two people are getting ready at the same time. The vanity inside the bath was also quite large and, more importantly, the entire room was immaculate. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we never heard any noise from the adjoining rooms or the hallway. From the 10th floor, the view of the sunrise over the mountain in the morning was magnificent. It was actually a pleasure to wake up and enjoy the rays of sunshine filling the room.
The convenient continental breakfast offered traditional fare and suited our needs for the trip home.
When we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you can't get a room on the river side, ask for a room on the 10th floor. The view over the m...

We stayed overnight at the Doubletree and had a very nice corner room facing at the river on the 10th floor. Staff was very friendly and hotel was very clean and well-serviced. Service at breakfast was exceptional. Wifi worked well. Plenty of parking. Comfortable beds.
Enjoyed a nice walk along the riverwalk.
We will definitely be staying here again.

The suite we stayed in was a perfect home away from home. My daughter was getting married in the Historic Episcopal church across the street. I booked the room for my daughter and I to spend the night before and for the bridesmaids to get together in the morning. The extra room of the suite was perfect, and the extra bathroom a perfect solution with 6 women. I brought a steamer with me and we had problems plugging it in. Just a note they have childproof sockets that really work, you must push the plug in really hard to get into the socket. The room service was perfect for having a pot of coffee for us. The only negative was trying to find a place to hang the long dresses including the bridal dress, a few high hooks would really solve this problem.

Very happy with the service, size of room, views, and would stay again.

Enjoyed a nice steak dinner in their bistro and was serviced by a wonderful staff.

The room is big and plenty of space is available for bigger families.

As I often do, I drove around the city first and Binghamton itself has seen better days.

I did find a Regal movie theatre nearby that looked brand new and went there for entertainment.

the most beautiful, cleanest and courteous hotel I have ever stayed at outside of Las Vegas. Love to know where you got those pillows, they were the best pillows I ever slept on. The food was fantastic, the staff was very helpful and the event we attended was catered beautifullly and the food was very good.
