“Such a great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Michelle, our hostess is a delight which made the whole experience more wonderful. The rooms were warm, cozy, clean and without a hint of odor. Important to me, since I'm very sensitive to cleaning products, mildew, etc. Went up for a week of skiing at Belleayre and it was a really cozy place to come home to after a day of skiing. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. The bathroom even had its own thermostat. We even got to take our pooch with us which made it even better. The TV is hooked up with Roku which made movie viewing a breeze. Everything we needed to cook with was there. The pots and pans were new including the coffee maker. The frig was big, roomy and the breakfast basket was filled with muffins, cereals, energy bars, coffee/filters and milk in the frig. I have zero complaints about the Starlight and I hope you do, too.

My 11 yr old son and I stay here when we do overnight ski trips to Belleayre. It's ususlly for a few days during Presidents week but we stayed this past weekend (2/9/1) as well. The owner Michelle remembers us and makes sure we have everything we need. The rooms are very clean and we love the kitchen. A complimentary breakfast basket includes cereal, trail bars, a muffin, coffee & filters and condiments. There was even a fresh container of milk in the fridge. My son loves going here and we have built some great memories staying at the Starlite. If you stay in room #8 take good care of out room! lol. Don't get me wrong so your expectations are met. This isn't a 4 star Hotel you would find in a major city. It 's a Motel and it's run really well!

If you want to ski Belleayre Mt. this is the best value going. It's 2.5 miles from Belleayre entrance, is VERY clean, and odor-free. Plenty of food provided, has kitchen, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine etc.. Three individual thermostats, very cozy and warm ! ! In my 30 years of skiing I have never seen a Mt. as well groomed as Belleayre. Plus it is less than 195 miles from Sellersville PA (Southeast PA). I would highly recomend this motel !!

This motel is a diamond in the rough; looking at it from the road, looks like a typical roadside motel. But the rooms are good size, clean, nice kitchens. Guests are well taken care-of. We have stayed twice so far & were very happy both times. Nice little touches throughout. Only negative was the shower water temperature was hard to control.

Our room was spacious, clean, and charmingly decorated. The breakfast basket was generous and had everything we needed. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I would be happy to stay at the Starlite again.

My family loves to stay in this motel when we ski at Belleayre. The rooms are clean and lovely, it has a kitchen (well stocked with cookware and dishware), the breakfast baskets have a nice selection of cereals and muffins. many of the rooms and bathrooms are newly renovated, but most of all, the owners are incredibly nice and helpful. Michelle is so warm and accommodating, I feel like I'm staying in my friend's hotel. She always finds time to chat with me, and has provided us with special requests from Lactaid milk to Children's Tylenol. It is our "ski house" away from home.

Our stay was terrific. We were two families with rooms side by side. We each had a son with us who were friends and who were just getting their ski legs on. The rooms were warm, clean, and the kitchens were very well outfitted. The kitchen has a tall fridge and freezer, a full stove with oven, pots and pans, plates, knives, cutting board, serving spoons, whatever you need she has included for you. The sink is very large and the kitchen has a table and chairs. The bedroom also has a dining table with chairs and we were able to have a nice sit down dinner apres ski with the two families together. In the morning the boys were able to run out back which has picnic tables with umbrellas and outdoor fireplaces with little seating arrangements around them (and woods to climb and explore and hilly rise to sled down). There are grills outside as well, one per room, though everything was covered in snow so we did not use it. The outdoor space also has a lovely screened in room which not only has delightful stringlights for night time camaraderie but also tea lights and lighters for a magical outdoor seating area and also has a large dining table. The proprietor is very generous with granola bars and boxed cereals in room/bagel/jelly/butter, you name it, it's in the basket, and a full quart of unopened milk in the fridge. If that's not enough she has teas and other supplies available in the office - she won't let you go hungry! Had I known it would be so easy, I would not have brought so much food with me! The bath was clean and hot, the beds comfy, and it could not have been closer to Belleayre mountain. Did I mention the kids ski free and adults get a discount on equipment rentals and lift tickets? The discount comes with the motel. Great stay, great deal, we will definitely return. Thanks Starlite!!
