I obtained a good deal on this hotel through Priceline for a one night stay. For a 2 star hotel, you get your money's worth because the rooms come with kitchenette's, inclusive of a regular size fridge, a 2 burner stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pans, silverware, and even dish detergent. The room was very clean, which made me sigh a breath of relief after reading someone's comments about bed bugs. The hotel is located in a residential area so it was very quiet in the morning, which again, I was grateful for since I had checked in at 2am and needed to sleep late. As for the negatives, the bed was extremely hard, the water pressure in the shower was horrible, the lever on the toilet would get stuck in the down position making it continually flush, the towels were rough, and the only amenity given was a bar of soap and a small bottle of conditioning shampoo (no body lotion provided). It has the potential to be a great place to stay for people who need long stays due to the kitchen facility if they fix the plumbing and change the mattresses! Maybe I was just given the "runt" room that night because of my late check-in. To their credit, I gave this information to the front desk clerk upon my departure and she was gracious for the feedback and said she'd pass it along to management.

I recently received a copy of your review of the Extended Stay America Long Island - Bethpage. We take great pride in offering a clean, comfortable room at an affordable price, so I was happy to read most of your comments about your accommodations. However, I was disappointed to read the rest of your remarks, as we strive to make every guest’s stay 100% satisfactory. Please accept my most sincere apologies.

I was happy to read your comments about the cleanliness of your room, but I was troubled to read your remarks about the bed in your suite. Please know how important your comfort is to us. We have chosen bedding that we think best fits our customers' needs, and we continue to look for new ways to satisfy everyone's sleeping preferences.
We specialize in providing clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price. That means we don't set out extra amenities like shampoo, lotions, shower caps, etc, in our rooms. However, our hotel does have a limited supply of sundries at the front desk, and we happily dispense them free of charge upon request. Operating in this way allows us to continue to provide you our great rooms at exceptional rates. I take seriously your concern, however, and assure you that we work very hard to explain exactly what we offer to our guests before they arrive.
It's not common that we get the sort of feedback you provided, and although it is discouraging to read, it will help us make our hotel even better in the future. Let me apologize again that your stay was not completely satisfying, and assure you that we will continue to listen to our guests in forums like this one or directly (please visit our website and click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page).
