“The staff is friendly but the food is horrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

We wanted to try this restaurant as it was new in town. We so much liked Bistro 22, its predecessor, and had hoped that this restaurant would be good but different. The staff is very friendly but not too competent....our waiter forgot to put our order in so we waited about 40 minutes for our meal. The food was awful! Even the typical tex mex dishes were not tasty. I thought that the prices were veryhigh for the quality and the quantity. This restaurant's food was so bad that we will not be returnign to it.

“Great margaritas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

I have had lunch and dinner at truck. Both times I ordered the veggie taco. It is really good and very unique in the veggie choices. It changes daily...For lunch it had carrots, Kale, sweet potato, brussel sprouts and Goat cheese..you get the idea. This is not TEX-MEX...The guac and chips are really good. The chopped salad was flooded with dressing, so I would not order that gain..Overall, good food, great margaritas and fun ambiance..I have heard a few complaints from friends that the seasoning is bland, but I enjoyed my meal. The parking is also a HUGE nightmare...I suggest valet since you can no longer park across the street.

“Their Web site describes them well”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Their WEB site, truckrestaurant.com, has all the information. Since we found it to be accurate, we need not repeat it here. Our party ordered a wide variety of dishes as wells as margaritas. All of the food was prepared well and tasted very good, but nothing was exceptional. The outstanding service and the friendly atmosphere helped make it a pleasurable dining experience. We certainly will return.

“Great Food and Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Parking lot was packed/crowded (park across the street and walk over) - restaurant had a buzz going that you don't feel other places - youth, almost frantic pace, very good food and drinks.

Truck has found a home in Bedford - hope they start serving breakfast soon

“For just having opened, a big thumbs up!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

For starters, we had the best margaritas we've had anywhere on the east coast!

Truck makes no bones about what they are and are not... they are a VERY family (aka kid) friendly restaurant... they are not a mexican restaurant. The owner is from Albuquerque, so it is more southwestern than Mexican.

The guacamole is excellent as are the fresh chips and salsa.
I had a cup of the posole and it was fresh tasting and delicious. I had the combo of a cheese enchilada (too cheesy for my taste) and chicken taco. If you don't ask, the tacos come on a fried tortilla (ala Taco Bell) but I strongly suggest asking for the soft taco which was perfect.
The black beans were cooked perfectly and delicious.

My suggestion would be to give the adults the option to add a little more heat (some Chipotle Tobasco would be perfect!) as most of the dishes had very little chiles flavor.

I look forward to another visit to try some of the salads and the tortilla soup. We went close to opening (5:30) and we were practically the only table that did not have kids. Next time we will go later in the evening to see if it is a bit less frenetic.

This area has long needed a comfortable, casual restaurant that understands the value of freshness.
