This was my husband and I's first visit to the farmhouse, which is part of the Bedford inn, I reviewed the barn (which is their more casual eatery) attached next door, for brunch, which is always a pleasure. The Farmhouse was dissappointing. The waitstaff was slow. It took at least ten to fifteen minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted something to drink and then to receive it another ten. Given they were busy, and they should schedule waitstaff accordingly for a Saturday night. Not to be prissy but the bus boys should know which tables ordered sparkling bottled vs flat vs tap. We had tap water poured into our glasses mixed with our pellegrino. Not fun to drink. The appetizer was delicious: scallops with smoked beets and pistachio and kick of chili. For our main courses, it was less enthusiastic: Cavatelli with lamb and fave bean with ricotta And Black linguine clams mint jalapeño which overall is not a combination. It was extremely fishy. We will not be returning to the uppity restaurant of the Bedford post but I would recommend trying the barn for brunch :)
