Nice family owned restaurant on the pier in Bay Shore. Sit inside or under 1 of the 2 tents (windows roll up, so if your chilly, the staff will roll it down for you). Good beers on tap, tasty food, & big portions too. I had the Fish and Chips which could have fed 2 adults. Pick your live lobsters too. Servers are always hustling, and they pay attention. Nice to watch the boats and Fire Island ferries pass by as they come and go from the canals and the bay. Lots of people fishing off the piers past the parking lot, and a playground with a beach and water park near the entrance on Clinton Ave. Nicky's is at the far end of Clinton Ave, past all the parking lots. Tell the gate guard you are eating at Nicky's and pay no fee, or if you forget, Nicky's will reimburse you after you eat. Sweet deal!
Also, you can take your boat here, as the place is adjacent to the boat fuel station. Its like a boaters take out spot for your little evening cruise in the bay.
Note: Weekends have breakfast too - how can you beat that.
